Hope reassured Brooke that Douglas hadn't mentioned seeing her kissing Santa Claus, which also means Douglas has said nothing to Hope and Liam about relating the story to Thomas and Steffy, or about realising that Brooke wasn't kissing Deacon and not Santa Claus. And Brooke, Hope and Liam only have themselves to blame because that's what happens when you encourage a child to believe that keeping secrets OK - they'll start keeping secrets from you.

DOUGLAS IS A LITTLE BOY!!! None of the adults involved should be telling him to keep secrets or not to talk about what he saw that puts pressure on him and let's face it when you tell a child not to do something that is all they can think about and end up doing what you told them not to in these kind of situations. Hope, Brooke and Liam are the only ones who have encouraged Douglas not to talk about what happened. Both Thomas and Steffy told him he didn't have to keep secrets and neither one of them has told him to keep secrets from Hope and Liam.Comment

Douglas hasn’t been back to the cabin yet, so we don’t know if he will tell them he remembers who was in the Santa hat. But since grandma Brooke told him it’s in the past and there’s no need to talk about it anymore, he might believe they don’t want to talk about it and not say anything.Comment

Douglas should have never been put in that position of having to keep a secret about what he saw, especially since he was being truthful about it, and really did see it. Like you said, it's all Brooke, Hope, and Liam's fault, because they are the ones who told Douglas not to say anything about what he saw, which also caused the child to think that he was doing something wrong.....shame on them!Comment

A child should be able to talk, adults should carry themselves like married men and women, and their fate wouldn't be in hands of a child. Douglas shouldn't have clear topics he can answer cannot speak on to his own family. Brooke use to using children to take care of her, and get her through her latest scandals. Now it's Douglas instead of Bridget Rick and Hope.Comment

The thing is, its been the same day on this show since at least last friday. Douglas has been in and out of kelly's room all week to tell daddy, then aunt steffy the santa deacon news. Brooke has been sitting in her sitting room for a week. she was at Hiams shed before that and Hope has been wearing that same outfit with the brown jacket since she went to confront deacon over not telling that her mom was kissing him. So it seems, it has barely even been 24 hours since Granny Brooke told douglas to forget about santa deacon. I dont even see when Hope had a chance to talk to him other than right before thomas took him to aunt steffy's to play with kelly and kelly had an emergency, something about her hair. The writing on this show is absolutely atrocious. Its been the same day since last friday at least. I have a feeling it is still the same day today as charlie will be looking for the security footage for steffy and thomas at steffy's house while douglas is watching a movie with kelly.Comment
