CLOUDFARE Security Message

Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.

This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.

Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.

The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

    ADVISORY: Ongoing disrespectful posting.

SOC's owner wiped this forum clean of all posts a couple of years ago and locked it, because of ongoing disrespectful conduct. That conduct has returned, and if posters don't begin express their opinions respectfully, I'm going to ask SOC's owner to lock this forum again.

Baiting is not permitted. That also includes replacing characters' names with bait nicknames.

Insulting other posters is not permitted.

    Actor bashing is not permitted.

Posting spoiler information in non-spoiler topics is not permitted.

Asking about removals on the forums is not permitted; contact a moderator privately through email.

Creating topics with vague titles is not permitted.

Racist and/or homophobic remarks are not permitted.

Political arguments are not permitted; we're here to discuss soaps.

Those are some of the highlights.

Please review SOC's guidelines at: https://boards.soapcentral.com/help

Posters who continue to violate the guidelines should expect to be banned. If you have a history of bans and infractions, then you might find yourself permanently banned if you continue to prove that you have no interest in abiding by the owner's expectations for polite conversation.

In summary: This forum was locked before and it can be locked again.
