Delon de Metz says: The auditions were done over Zoom with casting director Chisty Dooley and Kiare Barnes (Zoe). It was very interesting. This is the first time I had used Zoom with casting, or with an actress for chemistry read. That was an unique experience for me" He also says he's known Tanner Novlan for years so he was happy to learn about Tanner's casting.
Tanner Novlan, explains that the character will be a breath of fresh air for Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who will soon find herself in a romantic pairing with the hot new doc.
"Dr. Finn is an outsider, and I think that's great for Steffy," the actor enthuses. "I think 'Team Steffy' is going to be excited for her to have a new man with a new set of values, and a new version of what passion and love can bring. I think she's ready for a new man."
He continues, "Dr. Finn is clinical and professional at the start, but how can you not fall for someone like Steffy?"
Tanner further says that he has B&B fans in his family. Their family dog was actually called Thorne. For the casting, he says they started the process in March, before they stopped production, but he had to keep his new gig under wraps during the pandemic. He wasn't allowed to speak about it because they didn't know how long the shutdown was going to last. But he is very excited to see what's coming for his character.
So, Zende will probably be paired with Zoe since the actor tested with KB via Zoom. Tanner's screentested in person with JMW. Looks like he was set to start filming in March. Love that he talks about Team Steffy. He researched the character.

It also seems like he tries to stay as professional as possible but falls for her in the course of working with. I want to see how they approach that because doctor patient romances can be very tricky in crossing ethical boundaries. I kind of figured they were bringing Zende back for Zoe but will it be a love triangle with Carter? Seemed like they were going there with them.
