It was always the same. Insecure Taylor. Brooke knew it and played on that. Ridge waffling and almost always making excuses to Taylor for his choices which usually involved Brooke. I really don't blame Brooke as Ridge was a waffler and sent mixed messages to both of them so often. Ot was not Brooke's place to let him go, but his place to choose his wife of the day or week or month or decade etc.

Watching the old shows just solidifies how much I have always loathed Brooke. I absolutely detest this character and hate that they through Taylor under the bus . Ridge and Taylor were way better as a couple than Bridge. She is Ratchet! And the show could totally survive without her.Comment

Yes Stephanie didn’t want Taylor to loose Ridge over Brooke s manipulations like Caroline did.
BROOKE pursued Ridge all her life and manipulated because she NEVER his first choice otherwise
Stephanie knew Brooke would use everything including her kids and Taylor would sacrifice herself if Ridge was happy like she did when she offered Ridge an out after Bridget was born or in Morocco.
Stephanie knew Brooke would never play fair bc this way Brooke could never win.

I don't remember that epi or SL.. but I've seen and remember enough to know that Brooke used any trick in the book to distract Ridge and keep him with her.. especially away from Taylor.

She always did! The episode they showed last week where she had Eric Forrester help make Ridge jealous was delicious!! No self-respecting wife would sit there and put up with that, her husband not being able to take his eyes off of his ex, completely ignoring her, but desperate needy Taylor always did. He always knew he could treat Taylor any way he wanted and she'd be right there waiting for him.
