Bell saw an actor that could fill a role that Bell had created. Beyond that, we have no idea what Bell saw, thought or anything. Again, no disrespect to the actor, but there is a vast difference between a soap opera and an iconic movie like Gone With The Wind. And honestly, in the soap world, there is no "once in a lifetime role". As a matter of fact Bell told SC that he had one job, "Love the one you're with." That is not an iconic or once in a lifetime role, imo. Liam is a character on a soap, nothing more. -
Brad Bell saw something in SC that all the other guys in the auditions lacked. I doubt anyone else could have gone this far with the character even though he is an awesome character. -

If Kelly were Bill's, he would immediately start in on trying to control her life--that's what he does with all his kids. And she and Steffy would never have another moment's peace because he'd be constantly interfering. Kelly's better off with no father, or an absentee father, than an overbearing control freak trying to monitor her ever breath and doing anything he had to do to get his own way with regard to how she's raised. -
Weird only steffy must be held to her word. When hope gives her your love isnt good enough or im too good for you speeches get ignored. No one ever has to pull her back in she openly chases on her own and shes still considered the victim. Whats even weirder is that hope has never been faithful to anyone in any relationship. It was hope who couldnt be trusted because she was juggling oliver and liam from the beginning. Only after this did the amber, steffy, ivy, wyatt, and thomas things occur. -
Steffy left them alone after her first narriage ended, it has been them that wont leave her alone. It was clearly dhown after jmw had left the show, liam continued calling her and told her about the discovery of wyatt. On july 4th he ditched his true love date to talk for a few miutes to a woman he didnt love. Both jmw and km made guests appearances after they'd left the show. Its a bad argument that hs only remembered steffy because km wasnt on tne show when a precedent had clearly been set that liam could stay in touch if he wanted. Liam clearly had no interest in maintaining any contact with her because wgen anyone asked him he claimed to have no contact. It wasnt until after the recast that she claimed to have exchanged christmas cards. Additionally, if bell wanted to show that she was liams true love, km did do a guest appearance when it was shown steffy called her and asked her was liam with her after steffy thought something was wrong with liam. She obviously was kerpimg up with them because she was snotty to steffy and asked whyvwas she cslling about luam since she was engaged to wyatt, ,more hypocrisy.
Steffy bad for going after a married or engaged man even if she never had sex with them. Others are good for having sex with engaged and married men and even producing children from adulterous relationships are good. -
Not just steffy, jo woman on this show who isnt a logan is allowed to find real love. The non logan women can only have a man in theif lives if yhe logan soman he worships doesnt currently want him. -
Liam as Kelly's father leaves such a horrible taste in my mouth that, if I were writing this, Taylor snuck into the paternity lab and changed Kelly's paternity from Bill to Liam.
It is so sad to watch Kelly being treated like an afterthought as Steffy grovels for any crumbs that Liam throws Kelly's way. In fact, it's disgusting.
If Kelly were Bill's she'd be his little princess and the center of his world. If she remains Liam's redheaded stepchild, she will live in Beth's shadow. Brooke and Hope will see to that. Unfortunately, Steffy raised Beth for the first eight months of her life, so she will be too blinded by her own affection for Beth to see it and be a proper advocate for Kelly.
That's why Bill needs to be Kelly's father. He's a force to contend with. Kelly needs a powerful parent who is passionately devoted to her to help her addle-witted mother to raise her. -
I would be interested in knowing what Liam's life was like growing up. What was his mother like and did she shape his views about women? They seem to be warp in my opinion. Unless I missed it, I'm having a real hard time understanding how he can be attracted to a woman like Steffy and a woman like Hope. These two are total opposites. He has high standards for Steffy. But has none for Hope, why? Why does he treat her with kid gloves?
The writing for Liam is really bad and unbalanced. -
I agree that it was a quick wedding, but I don't think it quite compares to Hope's stunt with Wyatt.
That's actually a thing that disturbs me. People marrying after dating for only a very short time. Yes, I know it is a soap.But Pam and Charlie are together for ages and they still didn't get a wedding -
Yes, that's the real issue here with Steffy..she claimed to "choose herself", but her actions are opposite. She still has that giant display that she's hanging onto her dysfunctional past, instead of moving forward. She volunteered her home telling Liam something like my home is your home and you are always welcomed here. She jumped at the first chance to sleep with Liam (drugged sex). Then she wasted no time joining her brother's manipulation in staging that kiss.
What she really should do is put her big girl panty on..take down that stupid portrait, tell Liam don't come over with all your personal problems, if you want to see Kelly, I'll bring her over to the cabin for visits etc. Move on with her life, go on dates have some fun.
