  • Ridge’s moral highground and outrage towards Brooke

Even after all these weeks, I still don’t understand why Ridge is so morally outraged at Brooke. Yeah, for the rest of us, what she did was unforgivable, but Ridge has

-made out multiple times, and snuggled up with, an accessory to Brooke’s grand baby’s kidnapping
-made out multiple times with his stepmother while engaged to Brooke

My point is that no matter how dishonest, slutty, and generally awful Brooke is -and she IS - Ridge is the one person in LA who’s even worse.

Ridge is not even close to worse than Brooke at all. First he did not make out with an accessory since Shauna had nothing to do with the kidnapping of the baby that was Flo. Brooke is completely worse than Ridge she doesn't know how to keep her mouth off of Bill and never has. She is way worse. Ridge is not even close to worse and he was honest with Brooke and told her everything. She didn't tell him anything. She knows about him and Shauna because he told her.

Shaunna most certainly was involved in a crime. she knew that the baby was a stolen child.

@B&B blonde You mean the same way Brooke did encourage Hope to tell Ridge about what happend to Thomas and the vat? Because i never saw that happen. Unlike hypocrite Brooke it seems Ridge finally understood the point of a parent protecting their child, whether it's a good thing or not. Eventually all 3 were guilty of it. So yes Ridge does have a moral high ground and call her out on it, and it's no wonder he is attracted to Shauna.
I wonder if Brooke still has a big mouth when Shauna returns because of Flo.

Shauna is far from being innocent. She knew about her daughter's crime and she encouraged her daughter to keep her mouth shut just so she can live her life with Wyatt. Never mind the fact that her felony daughter was hurting her own cousin, Liam and Steffy too..as long as felony Flo has her happiness with Wyatt who cares if others are in pain, suffering, and grief. Disgusting Fultons.

And given everything Ridge had done to Brooke over the years, he is definitely no better IMO. Heck, he broke up with Brooke over some stupid text messages with Deacon. He's got no room to talk.

Exactly!! She wanted Ridge and and convinced Flo to stay quiet! She’s just as guilty

Ridge is not worst than Brooke. Not even close. No one on B&B is closer to Brooke's vileness.

tftaylor, Shauna wanting Ridge and encouraging Flo to keep quiet are not tied together. Shauna didn't really start wanting Ridge until he helped Flo get out of prison. Her desire for him had nothing do with encouraging her to keep Flo quiet; her reasons for not wanting Flo to tell was that she didn't want Flo to lose her second chance with Wyatt or the new family she had garnered with the reveal of Storm being her bio father.

Ridge is a playboy and always has been. A womanizer, as Bill Sr. called him. He had a major reputation for it. That was why Bill was concerned about his innocent daughter being with him. He proposed to her partly to annoy Bill who had legitimate reasons to fear Ridge and to get Caroline in bed.

Then Ridge cheated on Caroline a week before the wedding, tried to cheat again when they were making a go of it again, then he raped her when she was married to his brother and was drunk and thought Ridge was Thorne m her husband. The show rewrote it that she knew all along who it was (not how she acted immediately after...shades of Thomas and Caroline 2), but Ridge didn’t know that, he thought she thought he was Thorne, so, in my mind, he raped her.

Used Margo Lynley to get back at Bill Sr..

Flirted with Caroline/kissed her the entire time she was married to Thorne and he was involved with Brooke.

Slept with Brooke while she was married to Eric.

Later he played Brooke and Taylor for years against each other.

Then when he found out that Taylor had a one night stand with James when they thought they were dying and James didn’t want to die a virgin, he left Taylor for it, saying she wasn’t the perfect woman he imagined she was. As if he deserved a perfect woman.

He cheated on Katie with Caroline Jr. who happened to be his sister-in-law.

He’s sampled every Logan woman except Beth and Hope (and Grandma Logan).

        Married his deceased wife’s niece.

Raped Brooke when she was out of it on pills.

Kissed Quinn when she was his father’s wife and he was with Brooke.

Interfered in Brill when he was supposed to be engaged to Katie.

Kissed Shauna repeatedly while married to Brooke.

And the thing is, he’s so quick to judge Brooke or Taylor the minute they slip up and act like they aren’t clean cut enough for him , which is a complete joke given his own history.

I’m not saying the women are perfect or I haven’t rooted for his pairings at times, but the “Ridge is a moral man” narrative the show preaches is an illusion in my estimation.

Ridge absolutely has the moral high round. The yearlong affair with Deacon was an all time low for Brooke. Ridge will always be a thousand times better than a Brooke. A woman who keeps making the same mistake over and over and shows no remorse whatsoever. She never seems to learn.

In any case, if Ridge is so bad, then Brooke should be happy he's gone. It's time for her to move on. Ridge's portrayer,Thorsten Kaye seemed to have a grip on the relationship in his most recent SOD interview:

"In your 20's, when Ridge met Brooke, it was all about the passion and sex but as you get older, you get to a point that it comes to, what is it that you can give another person to make their life better? It's also about how are the two of you better together than you are alone? Maybe Ridge has finally seen that, and maybe he's looking at Shauna thinking that this could be a whole new fresh start."

Thortsen is right. Brooke and Ridge have outgrown each other and no matter what they do, it never works. It's over.

It’s been over for a while but they can never accept it. They should have been done when Brooke was defending Rick after he was using Ridge’s daughters and his ex-wife to get revenge on Ridge, which is the reason Phoebe died. All Ridge and Brooke do is fight over their children and hurt each other over and over again. I think they’re both sick. They’re addicted to fighting and making up. They’re addicted to losing each other and then chasing one another, which makes everybody collateral damage. They excuse their behaviour and call it destiny. Ridge & Brooke are to blame for the issues their children have and now those issues are the thing that keeps tearing them apart. That’s karma.

Ridge has no reason or right to be morally outraged. He has done far worse every time he gets comfortable with Brooke he takes off after someone else. A one point kissing on Bridgette who he once thought was his daughter. Disgusting.

Not defending Ridge but when he was spending time with Shawna and kissing her, him and Brooke were SEPARATED, her choice, not his and when they finally got past their issues it should've been BROOKE who told him about her kiss with Bill, but did she? No. According to her she was going to WAIT after the engagement party and tell him all about it, was she that confident that he still wanted to marry her then? First celebrating their love and then stab him in the heart? That makes sense. It's not all on Bill, yes he made the move but before that she looked him in the eye and then when he started to lean in and kiss her she was HUGGING him you could see her nails sink into his back. Yeah, that was comforting. It was getting sexual as it always does with her. And the second she knew Bill was about to kiss her why not push him back no, she had to let him and then say "no, it's wrong, it will never happen again." whatever. She never learns.

Bridge were on a break when Ridge kissed Shauna.

Brooke kissed Bill when Bridge had already decided to reunite.

Brooke uses confort sex all the time, see Deacon or Nick ... growing older she stops at kissing though ... it’s a small improvement...

The main problem with Bridge isn’t always the same. They disagree on almost everything but sex ...

They both were still married and should not have been kissing, flirting, or nothing. Marriage contact does not offer break only divorce.

I agree. I think the argument of who is worse is an exercise in futility. They are both bad. You can talk about Brooke with Deacon, and you can talk about Ridge having affairs with his father's wives. You can say that Brooke continues to repeat the mistakes, yet it wasn't that long ago that Ridge was going after Quinn, and it's been an even shorter timeframe that he was with this new girl while married to Brooke. It's really six of one, half dozen of the other. Neither one of them has the moral high ground. At this point, they need to leave each other alone (I vote for that), or have some type of understanding. But neither has any moral leg to stand on.

When both part agree to end a marriage, IMO its over. The rest is just paperworks ….

AS IF Brooke ever waited the final divorce to boink ALL the married men she pursued ….

Katie was barely out the room when she jumped Bill's bones

Brooke accepted Ridge proposal on the runway while still legally married to Nick and almost boinked Ridge in an hospital closet while Jackie was very ill …

Bridget had just miscarried when Brooke professed her luuuuuv to Nick and soon after she boinked him despite her promise to her daughter she would not until the divorve was final "out of respect"

Bridget had even no idea Deacon promised Brooke to divorce her before they started the affair… And they were very married for the whole months Breacon carried the affair behind her back

Macy had no idea Throoke was having an affair behind her back … Brooke even had the poor taste to tell her the new then to bring divorce papers to her lover's WIFE

After Taylor first returned, Brooke ALSO had the poor taste to bring divorce papers to her lover's WIFE … The situation drove Rick to run away …

Broooke was very married to Eric when she boinked Ridge … and carried on the affair although Eric refused to wreck his marriage and his toddler's family

Stephanie didn't know who Eric wanted a divorce for … Brooke and Eric had a secret affiar for months

SO BROOKE whining ANYONE should RESPECT WEDDING VOWS and playing the MORALLY outraged is just LAUGHABLE

No one on the show ever does wait! That is called adultery! They should wait until the divorce is final because the "paperwork" is the most important part of the marriage.

IMO they’re really one in the same, but with that said when you’re the one being cheated on it’s going to hurt. Ridge has every right to be hurt and I would say the same for Brooke if Ridge had of done it to her. Brooke behavior is abhorrent because once again she does this to her sister...her blood. I wish they would allow Katie not to forgive Brooke or Bill.
