Roscoe Born Has Passed Away

Just read that Roscoe Born has died, aged 69. I became a fan when I watched him play Robert Barr on SB. Terrific talent.

I was a fan of that character, too, plus Joe Novak on Ryan’s Hope. Such sad news about a great talent.

I didn’t realize the cause until I was reading more about him yesterday. I didn’t know he had taken his own life and had been dealing with Bi polar condition. Very sad.

I missed the whole Robert Barr-years but returned to the show right when he was killed. His twin Quinn Armitage continued to live on, that was a really cool storyline (at first he pretended to be Robert Barr).

If I've done my figuring right, there's 5 very bad guys up there, out of 10, half. And, I think he was so sensitive. When he was playing a pornographer on AMC one day he just walked off the set. Kept going. Didn't stop till he got to some town somewhere far away from NY. And, yes, he was bipolar & he struggled with it. What you hope is that you can get on a med that will control the highs & lows & just live life. I don't know anything but his life seems to have been fairly tortured which would suggest that he never got a handle on taking any of the meds. Such a horrible loss.
