End of Meena’s trial in Emmerdale! - Spoilers galore if you haven’t seen it.

OMG, did anyone else watch Emmerdale on Britbox today? I know that Meena is endlessly entertaining, but I can’t with the casual way she murders people and then gets away with it. I was stunned that she was actually found guilty by the jury for all 3 Emmerdale murders, and then she started enjoying all the notoriety! The actress did a great job, but man that is one scary woman. I was glad she was caught in the end, and that all those in the courtroom knew she is a pscho as they come. I was just sad that no one made her admit to killing the sister of the woman who stabbed her. But then Meena admits to killing her own father so that Manpreet couldln’t be there at the end of his life and would feel guilty forever. It just never ends with Meena.

BTW, I found a British forum, Digital Spy, that discusses British soaps and if you think we are critical of our soaps the British are even more fed up and critical and unforgiving!

OMG, Meena sentencing today. It was like she was in total shock that she would get life sentences for cold blooded murders. I’m not sure what 3 life sentences with 3 25 year tariffs mean in British law. Does that mean a total of 75 years? Anyway, I wish Manpreet hadn’t gone to the sentencing.

I found the scene with Liam and Jacob at the allotment, with the new tree planted in Lianna’s memory, very moving and a welcome conclusion to this horrifying storylilne. (That is one beautiful allotment, with the daffodils. I wish the ED folks would come to my house and do something with my garden, which is hopeless. I only know what an allotment is because I watch Gardener’s World faithfully since the onset of Covid and getting my BritBox subscription!)
