I recall they were good friends at one time. Did they stay close once she married Rick?

Yes, they were close the entire time that Abby was in Springfield....I remember a scene one time where Abby had gotten her cochlear implant done and was having a discussion with Reva and 'Abby' could read lips but Kim Zimmer obviously wasn't clear in what she said, and 'Abby' (I can't remember her real name) said, 'What?' and laughed because she couldn't figure out what KZ had just said and it threw her...it was SO natural.....I didn't 'love' Abby, but liked her friendship with Reva/Rebecca...

I never understood how Reva ended up in Amish country with amnesia after leaving San Cristobel. Can anyone explain that? But I did enjoy her friendship with Abby and I liked Abby with Rick.

My recollection is that after she had been in San Cristobel, she felt 'drawn North' back to the U.S., and Amish Country was as far as she got....and that was all the explanation we got of how she got from SC to Goshen....

Reva ended up in Amish country five years or so after driving off the bridge in Florida while vacationing with Josh, little Marrah, and baby Shayne. Harley was there as the nanny. Reva had been suffering from post partum insanity before driving off the bridge. ("I'm comin' Bud!)
Alan found her in Amish country and brought her back to Springfield, where Josh and Annie Dutton were about to be married. After a couple of years of some serious drama between Josh, Reva, Annie and Alan (including finding Cassie, the long-lost sister), Annie got Reva in a plane and left her to crash. We all thought she was dead, again.
I think that is when the clone story came in. Then Reva came back, and later we found out she had been in San Cristobel after miraculously surviving the plane crash. I'm not clear on exactly how that happened!Last edited by jward1108; March 6, 2023, 03:46 PM.

Rick's love life over the years was SO depressing - first falling for Beth when Philip was as well, then Mindy, who always wanted 'more', then Roxie Shayne, Meredith Reade (who got pregnant by Philip), Claire Ramsey, and having married psycho Annie Dutton (off-screen)....Abby, who I think he truly loved, and Mel (and pretty much anyone else I've forgotten)...it never really seemed like Rick was paired with someone truly suited to him....granted it made sense he wound up with Mindy at 'the end', but the writers really never did Rick any favors with his romantic pairings along the way.

I think Abby wanted more independence since she married Rick when she was really young. She learned how to adapt to the non Amish world. I think she was offered a teaching position in WA. I think Annie's drinking as the ruin of their marriage. Maybe she was cheating as well. Did he and Meredith's marriage fall apart after her baby died? I don't recall him falling in love with Claire, however he was in deep lust, since she was his first lover I believe. His fling with Blake as beyond tacky. He also had a fling with Beth, when she married Alan. What happened with Mel, I think they had a kid together. Since he shared so many women with Phillip, how did he miss Olivia and India?

Hahahahaha....I LOVED India!!!! She is one of my all-time favorite characters from Guiding Light!!!

I liked her as well. She and Phillip had chemistry. Too bad, they did not bring her back after Phillip divorced Olivia. It would have been nice to give Phillip and India a kid. Didn't Rick date Harley as well? I think Rick and Eleni might have made a nice couple.Last edited by WalnutGirl; March 8, 2023, 03:22 PM.

I'm watching shows from 1997 right now. I hope to get to the San Cristobel stuff, if kind people have posted those episodes.

Well, I was wrong about San Cristobel drama occurring off screen after Annie caused the plane to crash. So it must have occurred before she showed up in Amish country after driving off the bridge in the Florida Keys. I'm watching March 1998 shows now, and Reva washes up on a deserted (except for mystery man) island. The clone stuff is going on at the same time at an accelerated rate. Reva clone is already a teenager and Reva is wandering around the island looking for the mysterious stalker and talking to herself.
