    Daisy going to college

"A man called Daisy to come to college by Monday"
I just re-read this as 'A man who was called Daisy ...' wait, what?! Took me a minute to re-interpret as a man phoned Daisy, but I made it there! ?

One of my LEAST favorite characters of the final years of Guiding Light - the recast (and renamed) Susan Lemay who now went by Diasy Cooper....and was earmarked for another Cooper/Spaulding romance with James Spaulding...

Perhaps if she HAD been a man it might have held some interest for me.......otherwise....NOPE!

The same for me! But for me, it's the least fav character, not one of. And you know, for me, it was always so interesting how college students are shown in series and movies. It's so different from real life, so easy and fun. I'm a student too, but my life is not so bright. I have tons of homework and zero free time. Thanks to https://papersowl.com/write-my-college-essay, I can get some help from a professional who can write my college essay and save me some time to rest. And I have no idea how it is possible to live without such help. And in series, students do so many things and are happy, not stressed.

I enjoyed Brittany Snow's version, but I detested (not the actress) the version at the end of GL. Like GuidingLite said, it was too easy of a setup for another Spaulding/Cooper romance. AND there was no substance in the characters by that point.

True, Smithey - we barely knew James....we no longer knew Susan/Daisy....and after Harley/Alan-Michael, Harley/Phillip, Buzz/Alexandra, Harley/Gus, Coop/Lizzie, Marina/Alan-Michael it was just old to do another Spaulding/Cooper pairing....the same old same old.....and I had no interest.

If I had a "like" button, GuidingLite, I would like your thoughts.

            Thanks. ;0)

I think, in the final couple of years, I'd have rather seen the Marler boys, Kevin and Jason, R.J. Winslow, Will Winslow, Maureen Reardon (Vanessa and Matt's daughter) and Leah Bauer rather than James, Daisy, and Ashley....the grandsons of Roger Thorpe and what looked to be a lead up to trouble-maker Will really would have been more interesting than James and his Ponzi scheme....the actor was great, but James was just not needed....nor was Daisy....or if Philip's son had dated Rick's daughter...and driven a wedge between the best friends, that would have been more enjoyable to watch. Anything other than the goody-two-shoes Cooper clan....

I recall when she was only 13 or 14, she was already a hot mess!

I was just thinking about this when I saw the title of the thread again - on the non plus side of her character....

James was her former stepbrother - granted no blood connection but Daisy was adopted (and renamed) by Jim Lemay and his wife - then James came along but was not Jim's child - he was Philip's.

Daisy was also de-aged to fit the whole 'just leaving for college' scenario - she was born in 1989...the show ended in 2009, so the character was 20 years old by then, and James was aged to catch up with her.

If anything , Daisy's name should have been Daisy Lewis, not Daisy Cooper....Dylan Lewis was her father....

It's definitely a bit confusing with the whole stepbrother dynamic and the de-aging storyline. I agree that Daisy's name should have been Daisy Lewis to match her father's name. It's interesting how the show played around with the character's ages and relationships, but it can definitely be a bit hard to keep track of sometimes.
