Please GH do a little research on geography with the Doctors w/o Borders storyline

The Commonwealth of the Mariana Islands is a US Territory. If you are going to pretend that characters lived and worked there, understand that it is not a Doctor's without Borders location (it also falls under US Health & Human Services) and it is pronounced S-eye-Pan.

This isn't the real world though. The US doesn't include Hawaii or American Samoa either in the GH universe.

I lived in Hawaii for many years and you would be amazed how many people would refer to the mainland as "back in the USA". Also, even now, some airlines consider it to be an International flight with regard to some restrictions (like pets). It is pretty absurd actually.

Well you must keep in mind that geography is part fantasy on GH. That's where the biggest mobster on the east coast from Upstate NY can be missing and float to Pennsylvania, where NO one, not even the urban bad guy knows who he is. It's where the interational waters meet the lakes meet all bodies of water infront of anyone's house or castle at any time. It's also very easy to go to Europe and back while someone else in Port Charles eats one meal.

Though this doesn't help with this particular story, DWO/MSF does occasionally operate in the US & its territories primarily to assist with natural disasters and other medical emergencies. Usually it's pretty temporary and limited, though,.

rkm137 you are absolutely right! They operated here, in the continental USA, as recently as 2020 during the Covid-19 crisis. They may have been here this year for the aftermath of Hurricane Nicole, they were here for Sandy.

The current writers do seem to have some sort of block as to actual geography; it would be nice if they could actually do just a little research to learn about what they are going to write about. Then again, as someone who has worked in hospitals for the past 30 years, I keep waiting for the GH writers to to a little research on how things work in hospitals.
