Michael, Willow & Joss were so good today! But that out of place chair....

I thought that Michael and Willow were good today, very natural with each other, that his attitude towards Willow was strong, calm, loving, just what she needed. I thought that Joc’s rather startled, scattered response upon seeing that Michael and Willow had returned home was good, too. My only sore point was the chair, that in the midst of dealing with the sudden and devastating news that his pregnant wife had leukemia he would even notice or care that a chair in the living room was out of place.

I think Michael acceptance of Joss's excuse of why the chair was there showed he really wasn't taking everything in. I mean my girl J said "all your furniture is so cozy so I decided to use this chair instead" I mean it didn't really make sense. He just went with it and Will was almost asleep - like at that moment none of them were really paying attention to what was being said.

I thought Joss would say something like she was doing barre exercises, played a game with Wiley, or something like that. It made no sense and I'm assuming that was with intent since they were both in different head spaces.

That struck me as odd too. He seemed so distrubed the way he asked why the chair was moved to the middle of the room. My first thought would be she was playing a game with Wiley that they needed to move the chair for and she just didn't bother to move it back yet. When you have young kids chairs can get moved around. It was really not necessary for him to have a reaction to the chair out off place.
