Drew is going to so disappointed when the truth about Carly's lies come out

It can't happen soon enough--I don't mean for the secret to come out, that can happen whenever, but making those two a couple is a total abomination, simply painful to watch and an obliteration of everything we know about Drew. Even accounting for CM making the role his and not BM's, he's nothing like the adventurous, cunning man who left Cassidine Island seeking family and answers. Let's hope, as you say, he still has some integrity left, to be appalled by her lying to him.

Drew will forgive Carly and be the man she leans on when it does come out. Carly is a lead Drew is a lead putting them together was a given once Smike and Nina became a couple! As for Drew being the "man who escaped Cassadine Island" he's not been put in those situations since he returned. BM's Drew wanted a docile family businessman life and that's what they have written for Drew now. I'm thrilled he didn't get stuck with Sam and thrilled that I am enjoying Carly away from Sonny. Win-Win for me!

This is not Drew. This is not the honorable, interesting, strong man that left us. He is Carly's fairy godmother, now. His soul purpose is to pretend that Carly's mistakes are that of others, to reaffirm her wonderfulness and to make me sick.

OG Drew was such an interesting, multi-faceted, layered character. He survived and adjusted to waking up in a hospital not knowing who he was, developing relationships as Jake Doe and then learning he was Jason and living as Jason, then finding out he wasn't and losing the people he loved as "Jason", overcoming the brain washing, finding and losing a son, etc. Such a great character compared to this cardboard cutout of a Carly cheerleader. They didn't even bother with laying groundwork for them to repair the relationship that was damaged when Carly dropped him like a hot potato when real Jason returned. Basically this new incarnation is made of fail IMHO.

Drew literally exists to kiss Carly's butt! It's so sad. The character was strong and interesting. He is NONE of those things anymore.

Carly was one of Drew’s first friends and I don’t see him as different at all, he’s just not wasting his time on being petty. He and Carly talked about their break up and both were accountable for their friendship going south. I think he will be disappointed in Carly if she doesn’t ever tell Willow, without being forced. Will it end them? no, because Nina’s a nuisance and she’s protecting Willow. As for being a butt kisser, and acting out of character ….my gosh can Brando, Sasha, Curtis and Nina be any further up Sonny’s Butt? Nina gave her grandson up for a mobster …. She’s got a straw slurping Sonny’s crap straight from the source.

When was Carly down? I read that too. I guess I missed her being burned down so she could rise from the ashes. Carly seems perfectly fine to me. She dropped her husband and gave away her business. Is she down? Am I missing it? I’d love to see her down and out but we never saw that.

Yes, there will be the painful reveal that Carly lied to him. He will also have to deal with Carly’s inevitable sexual rendezvous with Sonny. Poor Drew. He’s a shell of himself.

Drew may be upset with Carly for lying to him, for a while, but I don't see it lasting.

And I don't see Drew as being a shell of himself. He's acting much like the character was when he was first introduced as Jake Doe. Jake Doe had been horrifically injured and had no idea who he was, but he was still giving Dr. O her nickname and declaring, "I'm king of the world!" He was sunny and upbeat.

The contrast of Carly and Drew, both sparkly (and dressed in blue) and looking at the good things in their lives, with angry, stormy, petty, essentially impotent Sonny was very striking.

Yes, original Drew was “sunny and upbeat”- when the circumstances called for it. He could also be frustrated, wary, determined and charming. In short, he was a full person. In my opinion, current Drew is a shell of himself: a good looking guy who serves very little purpose other than to smile.

I wouldn’t have been interested but we could have been shown them developing a true friendship. That could have been interesting instead of the show pretending they were besties before Drew died. Carly she’d no tears when he went missing and couldn’t have cared less, but upon his return, they are such good friends. RME. Yeah, right. Lazy, bad writing.

I sure hope that we see Drew's real nature, previously established, and he does walk from her, but he's been made so milquetoast generic that I think he will dumbly shake his head and tell Carly how thoughtful she was to have spared Willow the pain.
