Cool that he got a new role on something other than a daytime soap
If he has been fired, I’d have felt bad saying it but I hope it becomes permanent, something about this character and his portrayal is so stiff and boring, and this isn’t a slight against his actor, I’ve seen him in other stuff so I’m not saying he isn’t talentedComment

I agree with you. This character has not done anything for me. He seems way too bland for being the son of Gladys and related to Sonny. He's too nice and sweetsy for Sasha too. Yes the military, I agree. I had a wild relative who totally changed in behvaoir after being in the military. It makes sense Brando is how he is. -
yes we don''t know what he was like before the military...but he was a mess for while after he got out , had a drug problem.,,,,,but he straightened up -
believeinme246 - this is very true. I had a few friends that enlisted to various branches of the military right out of high school. Their life was very rigid. After getting out/retiring, they just went with the flow over time. Some of commented about one friend who acted like they were on vacation.
As for Gladys being his Mother and they being nothing alike, this is not new at all. Many many people in this world are complete opposite of their parentage and upbringing. When Brando first arrived in town, people believed he was dead because Gladys told her “sob story” that he was gone . He left her and her shenanigans. He has tried to tolerate her since they have reconciled their relationship. He still tries to handle her at times (and rightfully so!).

Well I’m very happy for the actor! The character I have always found kind of a non-entity so I kind of wish they wouldn’t replace the character at all, that would free Sasha.Comment

Added: I see the thread tile is casting news, so I understand why Brenda was brought up. I was just shocked to see Brenda pop up when all the other post where about Brando. Periodically we go thru this about Brenda. I hope she stays gone.
