That actually turned me off and seemed more like something Carly would do. I wouldn't think that a jury would be very sympathetic to an attorney who was making faces and seeming to be making fun of a defendant. I think it made her seem immature and would be contrary to the trust she was hoping to build with those making the decision. Her case should be built on iron clad facts and not childlike responses.

I loved it when Diane 'went there' as to Sonny's mental capacity as a person who suffered a TBI. Sonny knew what she was alluding to and yelled "enough!". Diane just smiled, and rested. - he proved her point. Wow, just wow.

I adore Diane, but it's genuinely sad to see her betray her longtime client and friend. She should have never taken the case. It's going to take a lot to rebuild their relationship after this.

Diane didn't betray anyone. Diane was Michael's attorney back when Sonny had made a decision to stay out of things. Sonny changed his mind to decide to support Nina and not Michael. That's not on Diane. Sonny changed his mind at the last minute. Did you think that Diane was going to walk away and leave Michael with no attorney just because Sonny isn't himself?

thecourt99 That's exactly what Diane should have done. It is a betrayal of Sonny. He is the one that has had her on retainer since before Michael was born. She will deserve it if Sonny drops her as his attorney.

Can we also talk about how tears filled her eyes when discussing how the Corinthos clan grieved for Sonny? How angry she was at his dismissal of the trauma of Averey's birth. Her hands were shaking when she said "you got over it, Mr. Corinthos! Did you ask your family if they have gotten over it?"

Carly reaching out to apologize to Michael. Diane quietly saying "I'll handle this". Hot damn!

she grieved for Sonny too. She lost a friend too, she was there when all hell was breaking loose with the family. She has been hurt by his caviler attitude, she's family too, dammit!

I was mesmerized by Diane’s cross of Sonny. Wow, did she make some excellent points. Changed my entire perspective. Sorry, Nina and Sonny, I've been neither here nor there regarding you two but I could never ship you now. Well played, Ms. Miller. Scotty and Nina miscalculated by a country mile putting Sonny on the stand.

Sonny was not a party to his family court petition. This dispute was between Michael (Diane's longtime client) and Willow, and Nina Reeves, the woman who victimized Sonny and his family. Diane wasn't going against Sonny by representing Michael and Willow.

Sonny chose to insert himself into the matter by, after declaring repeatedly that he wouldn't take sides, insisting on testifying on Nina's behalf. It's not Diane's fault that Sonny got up on the stand and exposed himself as a confused fool.

And Diane also got rich keeping Jason out of prison -- Jason, who might still be alive if Nina had contacted the authorities about Peter instead of keeping silent so she could keep her amnesiac worshipper to herself.

As far as I am concerned;Diane Is the goat in all this. I would love to have her as my attorney in real life for any case.She unwrapped the package with her brilliance and I am so team Diane.Millow did well to get her.Next to her would have been Carly lawyer.But Diane made a lot of good points. I ff everything else in this boring trial except her.Sad Mike can’t see how he has burned all his bridges and to be nonchalant about it is what is so disgusting.Take him apart Diane. I hope when this trial is over,Carly and Ava take their children because clearly Mike has lost his mind to turn on his kids,especially the babies for someone like Nina.There has to be something else going on with Mike. I think his mind is only Mike using Sonny’s name.

I hope after all is said and done,He and Nina,along with Phyllis realize they were better off in Nixon Falls and relocate because Sonny has no reason to be in PC.He and Nina can show the world that they belong in Nixon Falls together.They can rebuild that jukebox with Mike whipping down tables and Nina working behind the bar with Phyllis.

At first I was a little worried for her having to cross-examine Sonny, since he's her biggest client. But she was so good, there's no way he should drop her when she wasn't afraid to eat him up like that on the stand.
