    Who else misses Steve Hardy?

The heart and soul of GH!
It was never the same since he was gone (but not forgotten)!
    John Beradino-very fine actor

I loved watching GH with my Mom and Grandma, and my Uncle would walk into the room and shout Hey! That's Johnny Beradino!! He remembered him from his baseball days.

Such precious memories! Thank you for sharing!
He had such a soft and loving voice. So beloved and warm, as was Audrey!
A real calming effect on the show that I feel lacks today. It would be nice if Tom Hardy came back at least.

DocBroInLaw, it was so cute. I remember as a little girl saying, 'You know John Beradino?' and my uncle shouted with excitement, 'Sure. EVERYBODY knows Johnny Beradino,' and then went on to tell me about his ball playing and all his stats.

I miss the whole generation that Steve Hardy represents. John Beradino was born a year before my grandfather and he also died in the mid-1990s.

It would be nice to have more Hardys back.

He was my grandma’’s favorite. Sometimes when she would turn on GH she would say “ Let’s see what Dr Hardy is up to.”

For a long time now, I have been hoping that they would bring back Tommy Hardy who I believe is now a doctor. It would be so great to have Dr. Hardy's grandson on staff at GH.

Don’t forget Elizabeth is his granddaughter. Although, it is rarely mentioned.

I didn't watch Steve Hardy live (just specific scenes on YT), but I have older relatives that watched everything he (and Audrey) did. Over many many years they have repeatedly told me, it is a crying shame how his family was reduced to one household ... seen sporatically in favor of big mob storylines. When very talented Rebecca Herbst was 'fired' they were furious.

In all honesty, once Friz's entire family (including children) were highlighted they felt better. They adore Elizabeth and her 3 boys. So needless to say they are glued to what is going to happen this summer in regards to this particular family. They want Jeff back. They want to meet his wife. They want an update on other family members. And could care less about what is hurting Carly and Sonny and Michael ... because they have been featured too much for too long.

I liked it when they had Steven Webber, Elizabeth's brother on. I would love to see the Webbers/Hardy family back on screen. The characters would have to be recast though.

The original GH with Steve was wonderful--- I never missed a show. GH has never been as good as the shows back then.... sloppy and lazy writing prevails now and it's a shame!

He was simply the best. I watched a clip the other day when he announced the new GH theme song from Dave Koz, I think it was.
I've posted here before that when my sons were small and got sick they always wanted to go see Doctor Hardy because he was so nice!! They STILL remember him and are now in their 50s.

One of the worst errors by GH is not making Cameron Mathison Tom Hardy Jr returning to GH as a doctor. Imagine the possibilities for those stories...they are endless.
But no, the chose Drew, and it's a flop. His nose is in everyone's business and is just a blank slate.

No one can replace Dr Hardy. But wiping away his history is the biggest mistake GH writers, producers etc ever will make.

My father said the same thing when he found out the actor's name was John Beradino. He said he had heard of a Johnny Beradino in baseball and asked me if the actor had played baseball. My dad's interest was peaked because he knew his mom loved Dr. Hardy on General and he knew I started watching with her when I was little. Fast forward to years later, when he knew I still watched it, and he asked me if Dr. Hardy was still on there, and after seeing him, asked me who played him.

I agree about them not bringing Tom Hardy, Jr. back being a big mistake. But having Cameron play the role would be difficult because Tommy is biracial ( mom is Dr. Simone Ravelle Hardy and dad is Dr. Tom Hardy) and the little boy looked black on the show. They still could bring him back, working at GH because I think I remember them referring to Tommy as being in medicine a while back. I think it was a conversation involving Audrey...Liz's Gram. It would be a good way to have him continue the family legacy. They could also bring his dad back...and/or his mother.

Now that I think about it, you WERE probably referring to Tom , Jr., who was married to Simone. Because I forgot that he is biologically Audrey' son from when she was married to Tom Baldwin, who I think, raped her. When she got back with Steve, he adopted Tom, giving him the name Hardy. But as I mentioned already, it would be nice to have them both back on the show.

Yes, I miss Steve. I miss Jesse, Audrey etc. I started watching mid/late 70s when I was a kid. Although, my mother says I used to watch as a baby from my play pen lol.

I do miss the star of the show being a good man. Even Steve was not perfect but we were not asked to be cheering for a murderer
