All of her goodbyes today sounded more like goodbyes between actors. This is so out of the blue.

No one should be put in that mental hospital let alone Liz. Where are they coming up with these
storylines? And Finn not going to see her IDK. Too many mentally ill people on this show. I
don't get it. There have to be so many more ideas out there. And who would trust Kevin to take
care of anything.

You are right, there are many more health conditions for storylines. Ones that could focus on the condition/disease and how a person lives with it, not just mental illness. I'm not against the mental illness focus, it's needed. Would like to see different health issues too, like MS or hearing/vison problems. The show GH needs more health centered storylines.

@rosemaira, I thought the writers might be taking Willow in the direction of a chronic illness like MS. Y&R has Nicki Newman living with MS; it started out well but now we never about it anymore. As for Liz, I think her current struggle with MI makes sense. She has obviously not dealt with the tremendous pain and loss she has suffered. I think the sleep walking episodes prove that she needs to get to the root of her issues through therapy. I do think Liz will benefit from her time at SB and as a Liz fan I am glad her grief is being explored more fully. Hopefully, we’ll get to see RH bring it to life on screen. But it’s also possible she is just off on vacation and this is the excuse for her absence lol

The writers made a mistake killying Franco and now have come up with this dumb story
to try to mend their bad ideas. I think the writing on this show has deteriorated. I for one
am taking a break.

I think this storyline is a cover for her absence. It's better than the silly Laura & Martin in protective custody one.

I would not be too worried. A number of actors just need some time to recharge. I know Genie Francis left for a little while, and she came back right into her storyline; the actor who plays Valentin had another engagement and was gone for a while. I think Fiona was gone for a while too. RH has been going non-stop in front-burner storylines for quite a while, and maybe she just asked for a month off. I think that's healthy - or perhaps there is a family issue that needs her attention. I am very confident that RH will be back and is just looking for a breather.

I agree that Liz was front and center in the storyline with Jake/Jason/ Drew. But that story was years ago. How often have we even seen Liz in a scene with Drew since he returned while he wanders around town talking to everyone?

But IMO, Franco got most of the story during their relationship including the story with her rapist, and he got most of the airtime with her children. Even with Cam's recent troubles, we have seen plenty of Portia and Carly and their pov, but maybe one scene with Liz. They even had Cam call Finn when he was recently arrested.

Did we see scenes with her and Jake when Jason died? She and Jason were friends and she barely mentioned his death. Britt mourns him more. She didn't get to mourn Franco on screen - which may be what lead to her current story. I hope it is not so she goes off-screen.

I hope she is central in it and on non stop this summer while Genie and Fiona take their annual lengthy summer vacations. I would love to see Liz more and as the central focus of her own stories

I lean more toward the take on this by december rose . RH has not been what I would call a “featured” actor for some time! I was hoping to see this storyline played out more onscreen han offscreen. Who is currently at Shadybrook that she could possibly interact with (either positively or negatively)? RH should be utilized better, IMHO!

Elizabeth has been in dominant storylines for more than a year. That's simply fact. If the argument is that she's not on the screen everyday or every other day, no actor is until/unless their story starts to heat up. We'll just agree to disagree.

Stopped watching GH for quite a few weeks now. Came to the boards this morning to find out what happened to Liz. So it was her all along and she is going to Shadybrooke. The day she found her ring in the locker all those months ago we all knew this was the outcome.
Predictable boring writing in every storyline on the canvas not just Elizabeth’s The actors deserve so much better than this and the longtime viewers as well.

It was the ripped-up dress for me. And the ring. Those two things in the very beginning directly pointed right at Liz. No one else could have done that. At least that's what I've thought all along.

I'm hoping for a story where we see her in Shady Brook, and then Sasha checks in for in-house rehab and Nina voluntarily checks herself in to keep Sasha safe and ease her fears, as she did that second go-round for Franco. I'd love to see the three work on their challenges and to bond with each other.

FYI Ryan isn't in ShadyBrook. He's in prison, not a psych facility. For some ridiculous reason, they put him in a low-security prison although nursing care isn't part of routine services as it would be in a nursing home, but I guess that's soapy license. So I wouldn't expect Ryan to weigh into this story.

I love RH and sure hope that she isn't leaving, but gets some meaty material with this arc.
