Why didn't Diane bring up Nina telling Wiley that Willow isnt his birth mom

that Nelle was his mother against Michael and Willow ( Wiley parents) wishes which is why she
was not allowed to see Wiley..

I think it would have been more powerful for Diane to have Nina explain it.

Actually, I think it’s a better strategy not to give Nina a chance to explain. This way, Nina doesn’t get to put any kind of spin on it.

That should have been another key point. Diane goofed

Or she’s waiting for Michael or Willow to take the stand.

I think she missed an opportunity when she got Nina to admit she lied about Sonny being alive and didn't follow up with "Why did you lie?". Nina could have tried to use the fell in love excuse but that wouldn't fly because her lie of omission was right from the start and long before their "great love" began.

Honestly, I felt Diane's line of questioning was weak. Albeit, Nina's defense was also weak. But really, if that was the best Diane had, I would think it would be game over.

I do think Diane should have had Nina admit that she disregarded directions from Wiley's parents. Based on advice from the child psychologist they were working with when Michael got Wiley back a year after he was born - when Nina's daughter lied to him that his son was dead.

If Scooty can bring up Harmony's crimes then Nelles are certainly relate,

I agree! It needs to be brought up as many times as possible that Nina disregarded Wiley's parents wishes. Nina should have had to explain it to the judge.

I'm guessing that she will ask Michael or Willow if and when, one of them takes the stand.

Hopefully. She should have asked Nina though.

I am surprised Diane took on this case. Didn't she try and get Michael to come up with an agreement without taking it to court? Does Diane know whose side Sonny is leaning on? Maybe she would rather remain on retainer with him than have him drop her as his attorney, or just maybe she doesn't think this case is 100% winnable.

I think she should have asked Nina. She allowed Nina to gloss over the reason why Michael and Willow feel that she's a bad influence.

I would have loved for Diane to ask Nina that question. Nina could have simply said Wiley asked how she is his grandmother to which Nina responded she's his mother's mother but not Willow's mother (wait until she finds out she actually is) & Wiley told Willow based on the answer Nina gave him that she isn't his mother.

Wiley deserves to know the truth so I'm glad Nina told him. I don't think Michael & Willow have any intention of telling Wiley about Nelle. They'll just keep lying to him until he's older & finds out the truth on his own.

I think we can all agree that if push came to shove, and she could keep Sonny on her side and hurt Carly and Michael at the same time, that Nina would put a hit out on Wiley and have him killed.

She's never shown Wiley an ounce of love, because she doesn't actually care that he exists.

heddalee Nina loves Wiley; she has spent time with him at the Q mansion & the gatehouse. She has brought him gifts & took him swimming. Nina has showered Wiley with attention & affection....that's why he ran to her when he saw her at Ryce Plaza. Your scenario is beyond far fetched. Nina having her grandson killed? The chances of that happening is below zero. Sonny is already on Nina's side so she doesn't have to fight nobody. And Carly hurt Nina by keeping her in the dark about her daughter & grandson. She deserves nothing but pain & misery in return.

Diane's first question to Nina should have been, "where is the DNA test proving that you are Nelle's mother and have any right to submit this petition?" Her next series of questions, assuming any were needed after that one, should have related to every opportunity Michael and Willow gave her to spend time with Wiley and yes/no answers to the ways she went against their specific wishes. Then she should have asked whether given the chance to spend time with Wiley or spend time with Sonny in NF she chose to stay in NF despite her protests that this relationship is so important to her. Many more, but that should have been the first volley.

Why would Diane ask that question? The writers have written the storyline where everyone is onboard with Nina being Nelle's mother & Wiley's grandmother. Diane never brought up a DNA test in all of her discussions with Michael & Willow in regard to Nina's rights to Wiley. So, no surprise, she didn't pose that question to Nina in court. The head writers have made it perfectly clear Nina & Nelle are mother & daughter. They have moved on from this subject.

and here we go again. It is MIchael and Willow decision to make as to the who/ what/ when and time to tell wylie about his bio mother Nelle. Not NIna's. Period.
Yes, Wylie will learn the truth at some point. Nina wants to tell him her version of Nelle, now. Michale and Willow, at that time and now, believe that Wylie is not ready to handle the full blown truth of Nelle and all the facts of her in his life. They have sought guidance. It is NOT Nina's decision, it is the parents, and that is what NIna has violated, and does not appear to understand. Nina wants control, and is using the petition to force that control. This "little" episode shows NIna as a Grandparent and the respect she has (not) for the child's parenting. It needs to be brought up in court.

Nina thinks that because she gave birth while comatose, she knows everything about what children need.

OLTLBoomer, so telling Wiley about his biological mother is so much worse than putting Willow in the cult and giving her and many other young women to be raped by Shiloh? And kidnapping Willow as a baby and lying to her all her life about her birth mother, faking her birth certificate and killing people to keep the secret is so much better.
