    WTF??? Mon, 5/23 --- Fri, 5/27

Starting this thread now, before I get caught up in other things in addition to watching the show today.

I hope this week has more going on to move the stories along, than last week.

It seems like last week was spent talking about, 'tomorrow'. I hope tomorrow finally gets here, possibly today.

Did I imagine a scene a few weeks ago with Carly and Brad when they were actually cordial?

So, Ned is bickering with Drew, then says he has to 'go get dressed for work...'. I forget... what does he do for work... where does he go every day, to do what?

Why didn't TJ tell the doctor treating Marshall about him being on an antipsychotic medication? Hrs a dr. He should know that's important. It could interact with other meds they may give him or even be part of the reason he hasn't woken up yet.

        Also, this doctor follows HIPAA.

Often a hospital will as a courtesy allow a family member who is a doctor in the room. Yet this doctor won't tell them anything - even though Marshall is unconscious and can't actually tell him who is healthcare proxy is

and that is what i pondered during the LT. It makes no sense that TJ, a resident physician, would not share this information with the hospital staff caring for Marshall, as it is pertinent to his care.

This show is moving at a snail's pace right now. It hasn't been this boring since Nixon Falls. You could miss a week and not miss anything. The way things are going, Trina won't be exonerated until Christmas and Willow won't find out who her mom is until 2025. Even Y&R has more going on right now.

When did Aurora Media become so big that a merger with vast ELQ will make the combined company largely a media company? It's hard to believe the legacy of the Quartermane business empire would be dwarfed by a company that Drew could buy from Julian. (The original plan to dilute Valentin's vote by merging made sense because the ownership interests were so close it did seem that it wouldn't take a big company to push the balance back to the Qs.)

SO STUPID but last week or the week before Michael and Drew said they were growing Aurora so well that by the merger they would be pretty equal.

I guess Michael is such a genius that he made this happen ROLLEYES

For that to be true, Aurora would have to be in a business that's way more attractive to stock investors than ELQ's portfolio of businesses.

Like how AOL once merged with Time Warner on equal footing, even though the idea of AOL being just as important as Time Warner was bizarre.

If Aurora is entirely a media company owning newspapers and magazines, investors would not be driving up its stock price.

Same. I’m tired of hearing “my grandson” over and over again. I guess that’s the phrase that replaced “the necklace”.

I actually saw his point. He was responding to Maxie and Nina's mantra that the more love in a child's life the better so grandma Nina should be in Wiley's life no matter what she may have done or does. If blood ties entitle Nina then blood ties would have also entitled sicko Peter. Can't use the biology excuse for one and not the other. In this case it just proves that biology should NOT be a deciding factor.

That mantra has also been used by the Corinthos, especially the few times Ava had the upper hand and could keep Avery away from them. Then it's all, "Avery needs all the love and family she can get"....aka them.

Why did they get a great actor like CM to play Drew and have him do nothing, but be a boring busy body? Can't he have a story? With anyone other than Carly.

Agree why didn't TJ tell/give the Dr. the medication? Doesn't the bottle have the prescribing Dr.'s info on it?

Go Brad Go!! Tell the woman that's often kept parents and children apart what's happening!!

Valentine didn't get to take over just because of BLQ & Lucy. Didn't he also have Sam's kids' shares? When Mother of the Year couldn't not be with her killer boyfriend during probation? Always more important than her children.

Why do they say Michael hasn't been this angry since he went for Avery's custody? Why not also say WHY he went for custody? Is it that new viewers should not know that "wonderful" Sonny MURDERED Michael's dad?

Nina, Sonny also knew that Nelle was your daughter before you did and thought you shouldn’t know. She said Jax and Carly knew. Does she know that Sonny knew as well? Of course she wouldn’t care since she didn’t blame Jax like she blamed Carly.

Finn and Liz need time alone to talk but Cam doesn't need time with his Mom before she leaves.

Is it just me??? It seemed to me that Elizabeth was doing self diagnosis. Kevin hardly talked. She decided that she had to get shipped off, and, the others went along with that. Taking all the blame for all the incidents, Terry and her tests, looking for tumors, whatever, no '...let's wean her off of her sleeping pills....'. Go directly to send her away, after Liz did all the talking, and decided that that's what needed to happen. No private session with Kevin first, and that he should have been the one who said that that's what needs to happen.

This was way weird. l kept waiting for Kevin to step in. l guess you can self-commit if you think you need to, but a short stay only for a sort of rest or break??

I thought there was something "off" with Liz today. She seemed way too calm and accepting of this diagnosis. It's almost like she wanted to get away from Finn so much, she'd rather be locked up. I wouldn't be surprised if we find out her alter's was in control now.

I don’t understand Liz. She is so stubborn, she has to do everything on her own and push everyone away. She seems to want to sabbatoge her relationships. I don’t remember being this stubborn before, but since she was most recently with Franco and I FF Franco, I may have missed that behavior.

Whatever became of the PC Press? It's like The Invader is the PC daily newspaper of record. I always thought that it was a weekly. And, there's Alexis, defending it as though it was no longer a gossip rag.

But what is the headline, with large photo? A visitation hearing of locals, like the whole town has been waiting to hear the news and read all about the dirt that might be spilled about PC's prominent citizens.

And, it comes out on the same day as the hearing. I wonder if it beeped on everyone's phones, all across town.

It was front page 'news'. I live in tiny town...we have a newspaper which come out on Thursday. We get to find out what happened last week. We may get to find out what is going to happen in town this weekend, if the info gets to the newspaper office in time office to make the Thursday edition.

I've often wondered about the Port Charles Press. A respectable newspaper with decades of history and now people only read The Invader.

The Port Charles Press probably folded, like so many newspapers in real life. And although the writers don't represent journalism accurately, for soap purposes I say that Alexis is right in that this is no longer just a scandal sheet. Nina is a public figure -- she's meant to be like Anna Wintour. And the story isn't just about the visitation hearing, it's about a woman who has repeatedly hurt a family but can't be held to account under the existing law. The biggest sign that Alexis has changed The Invader: Nina and her attorney were given ample time before publication to get out their side of the story. They were contacted multiple times for comment.
