Didn’t Brook Lynn exchange her ELQ shares with Linc in return for him tearing up his contract with her? She handed over the shares, which he then sold to Val. How does he still own the rights to her songs?

Me too!! Unless - the contract was specifically to her vocal talent (singing) and the songs she authored belong to his label.

I’m guessing that’s where they’ll go. Linc doesn’t seem smart enough to structure it that way, though. It would also mean that BLQ signed 2 contracts. You think she would have remembered that when she was negotiating the trade.

This is what I sort of think it is not like we saw the contract. He said he still owned the songs she wrote while under contract. How they couldprove when something was written?? I dont know but he seemed to know that one song.
She wanted to be able to sing back then and that was her main focus. so maybe missed the detail?
BUT I have heard of people who have rights to more recentwork but not al their work

The contract stuff has never made sense since Amanda Setton first came on. You would think Ned and the Q lawyers would have gone over every detail after the contract was bought out and would already know about this. Hopefully it's just a quick excuse to bring Linc back because I'm guessing he'll try to sexually assault her at some point. If so, then the real story will start.

We would think but we have seen so many new codicils to wills and weird business twists in contracts. These supposed business geniuses writing strange things and having wills that are vague and non specific with the ablilty to add percentages at the will of writers. That I just roll my eyes and go on

I can't believe we are getting this horrid rerun of the storyline with stupid BLQ and her non-existent music career. Same exact s/l: BLQ signed a contract which gives sleazy Linc the rights to her music.
They already did this! I realize it's not exactly the same contract, but similar enough that it is completely stupid to be doing it again. We get slimy Linc breathing down BLQ's neck, and she frets around all day asking peoples' advise in between heavy sighs while she flips the pages of a contract.
Why are they doing this again with her? I don't like her when she's constantly angry. Not a good look on her.

xoregonian Understood. But when she left in 2011, she went touring with a band. And every time they mentioned her before they brought in Amanda in 2019, she was traveling and performing somewhere. Except for when she was hiding Leo from Julian in Bensonhurst in 2015.

All this! Getting bored with all these repeated story lines. Coming to like blq and chase but move it along and find some other way for chase to help and engage, like convince him to sing her songs. Get him kicked off the police force for some reason and make a career shift. Give us something fun and interesting. He's a great singer. Side note, I was sad for Ned, who was the famous singer back when, being sidelined to playing and singing backup.

I thought BLQ was released from her contract in exchange for her shares.
Released as not fulfilling the full term of the contract, but the song done while the contract was up were still Linc’s.
so I did not see nothing wrong with the scenes that just happened.
Like Chase and Drew mentioned BLQ can just turn the page and make new songs.Last edited by TVDfan; May 30, 2022, 11:19 PM.
