Why was Marshall taken to a different hospital OTHER than.....GENERAL HOSPITAL??

In the old days, we would have seen Steve Hardy right at the door saying, "What've we got?"
The paramedics would tell him and he would have said, "Get him a respirator! Straight to the ER! STAT!!"

This was a chance for a great, exciting scene at the hospital!!

WHY in the world would he get taken somewhere ELSE (NY Methodist), when the show is entitled, GENERAL HOSPITAL????

Perhaps the show wants to help Marshall keep something secret, and it's easier for him to do out from under the eyes of TJ and Portia and Epiphany and Stella.

DocBroInLaw, TJ had brought the clarinet with him to show to the man in the music store. After he and Marshall talked they decided to go to a club for Marshall to play it, and they took a back street to get there and got rolled by the two guys in the alley.

Marshall sent the clarinet to TJ as a gift after he left town. TJ brought it with him to Brooklyn to talk to the music store owner thinking he would know where the owner may be,

maggiebh Yeah, two guys who did NOT back down in the slightest and kept coming right up until Superman (Curtis) showed up. He threw a punch or two and they just scattered in the wind. That really irritated me, TBH.

I think Marshall is gonna wake up psychotic without his pills and end up on the nut farm with Liz and Ryan! lol

On the other hand, perhaps Sonny is going to somehow help when he hears what happened by saying that he saw Marshall's pills and be able to inform them what he needs.

At least, they would be hopeful that he will walk out of GH without a nasty scar on his arm. But, it had better not get infected because then, they would have to ship him off to where Valentin went, since apparently GH can't handle infections, just fantastic cosmetic surgery.

No one will have to say, 'Ewww, what happened to your arm...?, and, he will be comfortable wearing short sleeves, when it gets hot.

I reckon they wanted to take him to the nearest hospital, which would have been in Brooklyn or possible Manhattan in New York City where the incident took place.
