JMHO-- the creep probably has something hidden inside the clarinet and the robbers KNOW that (ie: piece of paper with a locker combination written on it, for example?) It has to be something really incriminating and that's probably why he's been hiding out all these years....

Clarinets are expensive. My daughter played one in HS. The second one I bought her (the non-beginner one) was over $4,000. I'm sure that can be pawned for well over whatever they have in their wallets.
