i am sooooo sick and tired of him and this tired line as to why he is slobbering all over nina's tacky behind!!! he needs to stay on that train of thought and continue to include WHY she is done with him! catching your husband in bed with another woman will do it to a wife. he needs to stop making excuses for what he is doing and just man up about the reason he is with that pathetic woman.

AMK definitely, but I was comparing to how he responded when he heard about Michael and Willow being in the hospital for Harmony. He heard about that yesterday, paused for a second, and then proceeded to dance with Nina.

I noticed that many times when Sonny feels sad about Michael and even Carly sometimes, he immediately seeks Nina to make him forget them and that's probably what he did yesterday with Nina when he danced with her right after he got the news about Michael and Willow at the hospital. Eventually, Nina won't be able to comfort him when it comes to his family, so I wonder what he'll do then.

Jeeze Louise, Sonny, how about checking in on Carly simply because she's the mother of Donna, and co-parent to Avery. Whether you want anything to do with her, or her you, you still share children and this type of thing might be time to put your pride aside and show some support. So true. Sonny acts like he and Nina did nothing wrong to anyone or what they did wasn't a big deal. If he thinks that he and Nina are the victims here, then he's as delusional as she is. This was Sonny covering for his separation from his family to Dante, in order to appear that it does not bother him.
Dante was shocked that he did not know about the attempt on Carly's life. As a poster mentioned in another thread, even when divorced, Sonny always provided security for Carly - just because. Apparently this time, there is no security. Sonny was not called by anyone, not even NIna. It appeared to sting Sonny when he learned.

Sonny seemed to forget that Carly is not married to him anymore and she's moving on without him. When he realized she didn't call him, he automatically thought that was a message letting him know he was no longer considered family. Carly wasn't even thinking about Sonny, so there was no implied message for him; he seemed to forgotten that Carly caught him in bed with Nina, so why in the hell would he think she would have called him, that's ridiculous. Dante is trying to keep neutral, but he's worried about Sonny and knows something is not right with him. Dante always looks like he's walking on eggshells when talking to Sonny and that's because he knows Sonny is not really in his right mind.

That's what really struck me about their conversation! I thought Dante brought up a good point about how isolated Sonny has become. (And Dante doesn't know that Sonny is so lonely that he tries to feed his guard meatballs and he has dreams where Dead Lenny comes to hang out.)

Dante seems to realize there is something really off with Sonny -- and yet when Michael specifically asked Dante if he thought there was something different about Sonny, Dante said no.

Anyway, it would be nice if, instead of throwing a mini-pity party, Sonny had expressed more concern for Carly and asked if she needed him to take Donna and Avery etc.

For that matter. he should have also called Alexis, who is also the mother of one of his children and was also nearly killed.

Good point. I don't understand how Sonny would think that Carly, who's not his wife or friend anymore, would call him; then he switched from the Harmony and Carly situation making it about himself. You're right, he didn't show concern about his kids and the mother of one of his kids. Sonny is just so messed up.

I thought Dante said no to Michael about Sonny being different because he wants to stay neutral and not confirm anything negative that Michael says, but Dante does know something is not right and he's approaching that very slowly and carefully so not to upset Sonny.

I didn't like that the writers made him dream about Lenny that eventually made Sonny want Nina right a way that he called her. It would have been better if Sonny dreamed about his father Mike and getting good advise from him.

Not only that, but he leaves out the Michael issue too. Dante tells him that there is a path to reconciliation with Michael, and Sonny keeps dodging around the full discussion and completely leaving out that he told Michael he would have to beg if they wanted to reconcile. Would you? I wouldn't. Sonny put a condition on any reconciliation because he felt Michael disrespected him, which is true. However, Sonny is disrespecting everyone else too with his actions, but he won't see it. SO again, Sonny gets to do what he wants and everyone needs to take it, but when they do something to him, it's unforgivable.

Sonny burned both bridges with Carly and Michael. Regarding Carly, he slept with Nina. NINA! The woman who gloats, and smirks and rubs Carly's face in the fact that she had a secret life with Carly's husband. Now Sonny wants to walk around town with Nina on his arm and still have a normal relationship with Carly. (Just wait until Drew and Carly start up). Regarding Michael, he made any reconciliation between them conditional. "I want you to beg me for it." Do you really think if Michael said that to Sonny that Sonny would ever try and reconcile? By putting that horrific condition on a reconciliation, he basically closed the door on it. Then he whines and moans about how Carly and Michael aren't reaching out to him in a time of crisis. Seriously?
