  • 'Camp' Spring Ridge Prison, Easier than being grounded at the folks house.

TV, board games, visitors any time of day. The worst is that the folks took away one's phone. 'Dad! Not my phone, too...'

It's no wonder, prisoner's can sneak out of there. The inmates wear street clothes, not prison scrubs. Endless visiting hours. Hard to tell the visitors from the inmates. Possibly pot-laced cupcakes/food, allowed in, from the outside.....

Standing around guards, don't step in if voices get raised, chests get puffed up. Ryan, rolled in, but aimed away from their view so that he's never observed being aware, snarly-face, annoyed expressions, eyes following the action.

Able to accommodate prisoners who can't do anything for themselves, but, have issues which seem to require full time nursing care...

Spencer may get busted for sneaking out, but, won't get sent to the Big House, just time added on, so that we still have reason to be there, watching Ryan work Esme.

No time lost out of one's busy day, to swing by and get in a visit. Seems like it's just right there, on one's way to get some take-out, on their way home.

Others can add on their thoughts about that 'prison'.

It’s a total joke and yet Spencer acts like he’s in San Quentin with killer prisoners. Today Trina was even allowed to bring her pocketbook in and the guard didn’t even see Esme put the phone in it, very observant guard.

Do the inmates (do they even refer to them as that? Guests? Spencer got time to check-in...) bicker over control of the remote? What are we gonna watch on TV tonight? Fight about which Soap to watch, during the day? Which network morning show to watch?...

Trina's bag killed me. You can just bring you bag in and leave it anywhere? You don't have to check it? What if she had drugs? Also, there were on 3 or 4 people in that room - the guard didn't see Esme run in and shove something into Trina's bag?!?

Spring Ridge is more camp than prison for sure! So I guess there are no cameras to catch what Esme did to Trina. What a joke!

If you ever have to be incarcerated you want
to be so in Port Charles..at the maximum secuirty prison half the time you never make it
there wiht the van chrasing and such..you
can get visit from all sorts of nefarious types..

Same in PCPD lock up anyone and everyone is allowed down there to visit and the guards leave them alone..

You can be put in a institution for the criminally insane like ferncliff then apparantly come and go as you please with out the staff being any wiser.

Now you go to min security and everyone get to hang out pretty much unsupervised in the visitors room where everyone in town can come visit and bring in books and purses and whatever else..

And while we can;t get past the lobby of the local PD.. In you can wander right into the squad room and hang outside the interrogation room and even sometime just walk in while the officers are milling around right outside and don;t say anything.

I was thinking something similar today. I was wondering what kind of hospital, infirmary, prison, etc this place really is. I mean If it's meant for the criminally insane then why are they allowing 18 year old girls to volunteer there? (or whatever Esme is doing). Internship? for what? And Harmony's role. I never saw a mention of her being trained to use those boards or whatever it is that she does with Ryan. That seems to me to be something someone with a degree should be doing. Also I once worked in a home for the mentally disabled and they didn't have the violent ones in with the milder ones, whether they're "locked in" or not. Not to mention why someone with absolutely nothing more than an exaggerated stalking/mischief would be in there to begin with. And I'm just starting!!! Purses!! I once asked someone why they had a see through purse and they said the prison required it. And Trina is allowed to take hers in with her?!! Nothing real about this place. Only one guard and he's there to protect Spencer. From what? People yelling at him?

I think that it's weird that a non-enrolled student even gets an 'internship' from PCU. Freshman? Really? Even if enrolled....I thought those kinds of internships were reserved for Juniors, maybe, even Seniors, who already put in the course work.

Whatever... the show must go on....

I couldn't believe it when Trina had her bag with her, and then she gave Spencer the book he gave her back. Yes, it's min

I would just love to have a 'prisoner' say 'Oh yuck. Ryan has to be changed again. I hope the guard takes him inside soon. It's getting rank in here.'

It's just not what you see in a prison rec room, low security or not.

It looks like Spring Ridge has a shelf with containers of salty snacks, and coffee fixings.

Plus, visitors, wandering around, raising their voices with the inmates, yet the guard has his back turned, looking at the cork board, pointing things out to someone else.

The guard doesn't even notice, or care, that the 'intern', who ought to be occupied doing intern stuff, goes and gets involved with the visitor and the inmate, raised voices, yet again.

I think the set decorators ( if that's what their called) never watched a prison movie ? if you didn't tell me where they were I wouldn't have guessed

Is Spring Ridge a branch facility of Pentonville?

Alexis just told Shawn that she never would have survived Pentonville without his help. She never had to go to the Big House...

How could I forget co-ed Pentonville. I also forgot how she came to be at Camp Spring Ridge...after stabbing/assaulting a cop.

As I have said a million times I do wish the writers would be more realistic as sometimes iti s so off kilter that it can be comical.

I don't mind that much that Spencer got an easy sentence IT happens and no one really pays on a soap. BUT PLEASE STOP WHINING!
That open door policy really gets me but they let just anyone drop in to harass or visit prisoners in statesville as well.

But then things like Trina's huge purse being brought in and left

Looks like 30 days has already flown by for Spencer, even though it stayed the same day, many times , for everyone else in PC.

Dang! Now the show has the guards playing cards with the inmates.
