If Esme is 19 she is not considered a minor in most states. However, she may just make it look like they did as Nelle did with Sonny.

It would totally destroy Nikolas. Esme is barely 18 and is sleeping with his son! Nikolas willingly sleeping with her is gross. There has been no setup for that to happen, so they will force us to watch her set him up like Nelle did with Sonny.

How old was Morgan when he and Ava first hooked up? I don't believe Esme is Spencer's age at all. I just don't know how much older she is. Regardless, I asked about Morgan as it relates to Ava because if it does go this route, I can the double standard already starting.

Morgan was 19 when he started sleeping with Ava. There’s no way Nikolas could sleep with a 19-year old Esme without him being utterly destroyed as a character!

I don't think seduction is where this is headed. It wouldn't really further Esme and Ryan's goals. Unless she cried rape and Spencer and everyone else believe her, her sleeping with Nik would leave her out in the cold. Esme is going to charm Nik with her poor, misunderstood, apologetic waif routine, and win him over as the one who bring Spencer back into the family fold. That gives her the power and position to go at Ava on Ryan's behalf, and remain the charming little princess who brought father and son together.

When Esme and Ryan left things off, he said her ultimate goals are Spencer, his money and a family. Esme has consensual sex with Nikolas and she loses both Spence and his family money since it's not like Nikolas is gonna say "welp, you ruined my life, cost me my wife and son. Let's get married!!" It much more furthers Esme's endgame to somehow stage things to make it look like Nikolas made advances at her against her will.

Let's imagine this scenario: Nikolas and Ava have bachelor/bachelorette parties the night before their vow renewal. Trina is invited to Ava's so Esme uses her issues with Trina to score an invite to Nik's. Perfect opportunity for her to use the same drug on Nik that she used on Trina (the plot point of Trina being blackout drunk after only one drink is clearly sidelined for a reason). The next day Spencer barges into the ceremony and punches his dad in the face for trying to rape his girlfriend.
