  • Why do I enjoy Victor so much?

Victor is a bad guy, but for some reason, do not hate him like I hated Peter, Nelle, or Shiloh (the three I have hated most in the past 10 years). He is undeniably evil with what he has done to Drew, how he helped Peter, how he was responsible for keeping Jason locked up, and even drugging and dumping his own son in a dumpster (why did he do that anyway?) and whatever other dastardly things he has done. But for some reason, unlike the others, he is entertaining and charming, and fun to watch. I would like more of our bad guys to be like him and fewer of the ones like the above stated or Ryan who have been strait up insane and out to get one particular person or family for some unfounded claim of revenge.

Because CS is wonderful and has twinkling eyes and a great smile. For me, it is also because I loved his old character way back on OLTL.

I'm glad someone enjoys him. I don't like him at all. I think he is slimy. His accent doesn't impress me at all.

The actor is great. He was Shane on Days of Our Lives for years.

I love this version of Victor; he is such a fun villain. He always has a twinkle in his eyes regardless of what he is doing.

I like him too. Although he’s a horrible person, he has a certain charm that makes him fun to watch. You know everyone has his number, nobody trusts him, and you never doubt he’s up to no good. But it’s that charm; just like Valentin.

Peter on the other hand, was so obviously evil, no charm at all, and yet people like Maxie and Anna were willing to trust him. He was just unwatchable.

And Victor isn't a whining sad sack like Peter and Nelle were.

There's just something about the way that Charles O'Shaughnessy portrays Victor. He does vile and disgusting things, but he's also a charming cad. ?

Even from across the room my hubby said "is that Mr. Sheffield?". Lol I think he's easy to enjoy because of the other characters we've known him as.

You like him because he has nuance and isn't constantly tying damsels to the railroad tracks while twirling his perfectly waxed mustache. Aka he seems like a human being that is up to no good, versus a a cartoon character. Seriously that is it. Also C O'S is brilliant.

This exactly. Peter was definitely Snidely Whiplash. It was too much that anyone fell for him and his lies.

Victor is kind of like Helena, smooth, charming, smart, subtle and completely wicked, twisted and morally bankrupt. He's also not whiny. That helps.

You have to have villains to drive the drama and I'd rather have a thousand Victors than one Peter. He just made me want to stick forks in my eyeballs.

                One of GH’s best recast.

The fact that "GH" cast Charles O'Shaughnessy in the role makes all the difference in the world. He's a perfect fit for the role and he plays it perfectly.

It really is. So eloquent and charming, all the while planning his evil scheme What is his endgame? The Ice Princess/World dominance? Controlling the banks? What info is programmed in Drew that he heeds?

GH has a strong villain game right now between Victor, Ryan and Esme. Peter was the weak link.
