As I remember the story after the parents divorce
Kevin went to live with the dad and Ryan stayed with his mom who sexually abused him. (If I remember as it was rather disturbing when it was shown) in flashback of Their mom in the tub with Ryan well they didnt; actually show IT but
we got what was happening...(If I am remembering correctly)

If I was related to that family there is no way in hell I would ever reproduce ...I wouldn't take a chance on bringing something like Ryan or Esme into the world ...
