Is Courtney the mystery woman who was screaming in her cell in Greece?

Most of us assumed the mystery woman Victor was keeping in a cell was Holly Sutton. I even think I recall that it was confirmed that was the original plan but Emma Samms long covid diagnosis kept her from traveling to the states and filming at the time. What if the writers pivoted and now the woman in the cell is Courtney?

For a character to receive as many mentions as Courtney did in one episode was like the writers taking a hammer and hitting viewers on the head to say:
Do you remember Courtney?
Let us remind you who she is.
Let us remind you of all the people she was important to.
let us remind you what she looks like by having Carly show you her picture.

I feel like she's returning.

That means nothing on a soap because Robert/Anna visited as ghosts and they returned to the land of the living. That being said I think it will be revealed it was Victor that released the virus which killed Courtney

I think Courtney is truly, sincerely dead. I think all these mentions lately are leading up to her ghost appearing again to give Spencer some much needed counsel, not that she will actually be returning in the flesh. Plus, I was really looking forward to a Holly return.

Will Victor be a hero, bringing Spencer's mama back to him?? Spencer will love Uncle Victor even harder, and not hold it against him for denying him his mama, for his whole lifetime? Or, Victor didn't have anything to do with it and, really would be a hero, because of the big rescue....

Really, I don't care about any of this, I just like to talk about what happens on the show, as it happens....

I liked Courtney so I wouldn't mind if she came back but I don't think she is. I think Holly will be back when Emma is well.

Now.... I would LOVE Nathan coming back!!! PLEASE bring Nathan back!! He could have taken a med that slowed his heart rate, he "played" dead to protect Maxie until Peter was put of the picture.... HEY, I know I'm pulling at straws, but I LOVED Nathan's character!!!

I would do backflips of joy if Nathan came back and was happily reunited with Maxie. Knowing these writers they would screw it up, but I'd love to see my Naxie happily reunited. They were one couple that truly always looked like they were in love. Oh how I miss Naxie!

If every mention of a dead person meant that the character was coming back from the dead, there would be no show due to all the characters getting air time with the current bloated cast. Story lines could not advance in a realistic time frame, LOL.

Yes, we have ghost appearances - it is part of the story (ghost Sonny visiting Carly) or the actor is NOT returning for a contract and the appearance is a one off - Like Duke's appearance with Julian.
If everytime Nathan was mentioned lately during the Peter August wind-up, it would have been RP swinging the tire iron and not Felicia, LOL.

Today was a one-off to show how much Courtney (and her goodness) could have effected Nicholas and Spencer - that is all. it was poignant for her son, and those who knew her.

We know that Holly Scorpio is inprisoned somewhere. We have seen the footage. We know she is alive.
We suspect the woman screaming on the Island is Holly - however, Haydne Is MIA, it could be her (why was her mother killed).
These two characters are basically dropped storylines and they fit your question better than deceased Courtney Corbin.

she got much more than a casual one off mention. Spencer, Nicholas, Sonny, Carly, & Sam all had in-depth conversations about a long-forgotten character who hasn't been on screen in 15+ years. PLUS her photo was shown and we were reminded the Metro Court is named after her. That's way way way more than a casual mention.
