Once again Sonny is blaming Carly for everything

Sonny was telling Phyllis how Carly didn't show up and now she's going to divorce him and he didn't do anything. He forgot to tell Phyllis how she caught him in bed with Nina 2 seconds after Kristina went crying to him that Carly might not come. If she stayed out of his life this would never had happened. Carly really needs to dump his sorry butt. She can do better than him. I'm waiting for the day (if it ever comes again) that he really becomes Sonny Corinthos and goes after someone with a gun or put her life in danger. She won't be so happy to be with him then.

These writers brought NF to PC.The only one missing is Lenny. I wish they all would be sent back there so Nina and Sonny can have their fantasy pure wuv.Sick of Sonny and Nina. I saw her as very abusive with Robin, and especially with Jason's life. He had to jump like a trained mastiff when she called, regardless of what he was doing with her family. It was at all hours too.

believeinme246 Setting aside that you're referencing storylines from nearly 25 years ago, that's not abusive. It's manipulative, sure. But Jason always knew what Carly was up to and he let her. There was no point wherein Jason was unaware that Carly would use Michael to get him to do what she wanted. He chose to continue to engage. Was it healthy? Hell no. Was it abusive? Also no.

Carly and Sonny have a shared responsibility in the break up of their marriage. If the marriage did not have cracks in it before Nina then the Nina factor would never have mattered. Sonny would have shut down Nina long ago and he would never have been attracted to her. Carly would never have turned toward Jason, fell in love with him, married him and had almost sex with Jason in their bedroom.

Sonny and Carly did have a solid marriage before the Nina crap started. Carly and Jason had to do something to keep their family safe from the mob and this was all Nina's fault. Whether or not their marriage had cracks in it, it wouldn't had made a difference because Sonny's head was all messed up by Nina's manipulations. His predator had control over him then and still does because both of them are still stuck in NFs.imo.

I can't agree with this. NF would never have happened if there were cracks in the marriage. From my understanding their marriage was SO stable that the writers didn't believably think they could split them up. Thus the amnesia story was born. The Nina cracks came after her returned because he refused to acknowledge the trauma his family had experienced at the hands of Nina, because he wasn't personally upset during that time. Jason and Carly grieved Sonny, greatly, and then they were forced into an arranges marriage which opened the pandoras box that was their feelings. Had Nina not kept Sonny from his family he could have gone home and gotten help. Had Nina not kept Sonny from his family Carly and Jason's feelings would not have been reignited. Nina lit the match that set his families world on fire and he's angry because they're not willing to be okay with the fact she burnt their world down.

I don't agree. She tried to get him to talk to her repeatedly and Sonny didn't want to. He kept insisting they put it behind them. Carly asked him over and over if something else was happening and Sonny just shut her down insisting they move forward. By the time she learned enough to understand what was happening, Carly was too hurt and angry to see his side. And Sonny didn't try to explain anyway. He's only been honest with Nina and, to a lesser extent, Phyllis and Dante.

Sonny, in his mind, is never wrong. Carly tried from the time he returned from Nixon Falls to get Sonny to talk about his time there. She was honest with him about Jason but Sonny never was honest with himself or any one else about Nina. What kills me is if anyone else lied about knowing Sonny, they would be paying a high price but not Nina!!!!

I'm not sure why Sonny being a dog is a surprise to anyone. You don't get to be the fiercest mobster on the east coast by being a sweet little boy who takes responsibility for his own actions. Sonny has always been a monster. He's just been softened with focus away from those activities on the show in more recent years because too many people were leaving the show that was Mob Central.

I'd argue that Sonny cheating on his wife and lying about the details or withholding details was among the least of his sins.

Well this is the guy who twisted his murder (for hire) of Margeaux's father into a quest to prove that it was her mother's fault, even though he killed a little girl's father in cold blood. Instead of being the triumphant daughter getting vengeance and justice for the father taken from her as a small child, she ended up slinking out of town in shame while Clan Corinthos patted themselves on the back for their heroics. I detest Sonny and I hope his affair with Nina destroys his life.

Sonny did not take any responsibility for not looking for his family. He knew he was married. He knew how to find All information about Elijah and his mob, he just did not want to find his family. He prefers to blame Nina for his not coming home sooner, but he never admitted that he did not want to find out who he was. Some people think he had brain injury, the truth is it was healed a long time ago, because brain injuries are not healed but strong knocks on one's head. But SONNY wasn’t attracted to Nina, Mike was. Sonny never gave Nina the time of day before he lost his memories. And the Carson marriage was stronger than it has ever been prior to Nina preying on an amnesiac man.

When it comes right down to it, Mike was still Sonny, he just didn't know he was a criminal, thus he didn't go around trying to kill people. But, he still had all the self-righteousness and narcisism (sp) that Sonny showed. He was just a bit "nicer".
