Why the strong lines with the Children of Sonny Carly

Dante says something like I'm just trying to protect My father to Michael, he said it in a way like Michael wasn't Sonny's child.
Micheal is saying the same about Carly
Kristina says she is looking out for her father or whatever.
Lately it seems like they are doing more to let the viewer know exactly whose parent is whose in a way I dont recall hearing before. Makes me think the Sonny Carly situations are going to get alot worst. Forcing people to choose sides.

Dante is actually more neutral. He told Sonny that Carly was right to be upset with him. That Nina is the problem and he needs to realize that. He also told Sonny more than once he needs to leave Carly be and give her the time and space she requested. He just did it in a loving respectful way. I doubt Dante will be involved much with this Sonny/Carly/Nina mess as he has more pressing matters to deal with such as, catching Peter August, who just escaped, bringing him to justice and finding baby Bailey/Louise.

Dante tries to be peacemaker and is rational. It would have made more sense to me if Kristina had gotten the dialogue given to teenage Joss. Carly's kids have always been front burner whereas the children of other characters are only brought out on ocassion.

I hadn't thought about it before but you are right. Michael, Joss, and pretty soon Donna are front and center much more.

I was hoping that Kristina would get to tear int Nina, but I think it made perfect sense that Joss -- who is 18 or 19, a young woman -- got to tell Nina exactly what she thought of her. Joss, unlike Kristina, had a relationship with Nina. Nina was dating Joss's father and giving Joss presents (like the journal) and pretending to be nice to Joss, all the while lying to Joss's face and hurting Joss and her family. Joss's mother, not Kristina's, was hurt deeply by Nina's Nixon Falls games. Nina actively blocked Joss, Trina and Joss's dad from seeing Sonny and discovering the truth when they were in NF. Joss was also the one who was still living at the Corinthos house with the little girls, and she was the one seen comforting Avery when they were catching fireflies.

I'd say that Dante has been pretty neutral. He did tell Sonny that Sonny had hurt Carly and that he should give her time and space since that is what Carly wants.

Michael yelled at Sonny once -- but only after Sonny showed up at Michael's home and started yelling at Michael. He's been supportive of his mother, but he hasn't really told his father off, unless I missed it.

Joss has also been supportive of her mom and has told Nina what she thinks of her, which was a joy to listen to. But she hasn't sought out Sonny and told him off or confronted him.

What would be really nice would be if someone who cares about Sonny told him that he needs professional help to deal with his feelings about what happened in Nixon Falls.

It would be nice if Carly insisted to Sonny that they undergo marriage counseling -- but maybe she would do that if he would only give her a few days space to think about things.

It would be really, really, really nice if one of Nina's cheering squad told her that she needs some professional help.

I wish they wouldn't feel the need to write interactions like that. I get the logic that they want new viewers to know who is who and what relationships are what. But you don't need to beat people over the head with it. For one, we have YouTube, Wikipedia, and even SOC Who's Who if people really need a refresher. And it's not like viewers haven't jumped into a soap and figured this stuff out in the past. I remember jumping into Guiding Light during the Reva/Josh/Annie stuff and figuring out immediately who was related to whom and who had history.

The family relationship of the corinthos clan are anything but traditional, so I can see lines drawn. And stating the relationship....

Dante is observate of his father's state of mind, where Michael has not dealt with him that much since his return, and was gobsmacked at the court hearing. MIchael is angry.
Krissy believes the sun rises and sets with Sonny - so she is naturally on Sonny's side.
Kristina is also concerned for her half brother/ sister as she knows all the back history of the two - and that is not necesarily a bad thing.
Joss is Carly 2.0 - she respects Sonny, and loves him in her own way. But she is her mother's daugher, and just because we have not seen her tear into Sonny, we have seen her tear into Nina (and it was beautiful).

We did get a glimpse of how Joss felt when she said something about why did YOU have to move out when it is all Sonny's fault.

Even if they haven't outright written it that way before, they really have been presenting it that way the past several years. All of Sonny's biological kids (aside from the little ones) have been very excluded from the "Carson" family. Which has made me dislike that group even more honestly. It's been all about the children that are either Carly's or those that she considers her own (Avery). Dante and Kristina have been MIA in that family for a while. I wish they'd acknowledge that onscreen, and in that way, I definitely wouldn't mind it turning into Carly's kids vs. Sonny's kids, in some form. It would make sense.

I don't really see it this way. For the past several years, Kristina has been rarely on. It's not like she was excluded from the Carson family -- we don't see her very often with the Davis family either. Dante also spent a couple of years away -- first because he was doing the undercover assignment, and then because he was suffering from PTSD and brainwashing. Dante doesn't seem to spend that much time at his father's house or with his father, but then Dante wasn't raised by Sonny. Kristina seems to be written all over the place these days and I don't think the writing for her makes a lot of sense. But there's no reason to think that Dante would blame Carly for the problems in the Sonny-Carly marriage or take sides against her. Dante didn't make the connection that Sonny was off his meds, but he did seem t realize that Sonny was being unstable and unreasonable. And he very much seems to think that what Nina did was hurtful.

CarnyQueen They've shown Dante recently being much more on his father's side than Carly's. As for Carly's brood, the show does brand them as the "Corinthos family," even though Sonny is the only Corithos among the blondes lol. Kristina used to be in family photos in Sonny's house. Not anymore. All Carly's kids and Jason. When the Christmas stockings go up on that set - no Kristina and I don't believe any Dante either. The recent cast promo photos - they labeled the Carson/Michael/Joss photo as the "Corinthos family." Umm, no. Also, when Mike died, Joss got all the material Kristina should've had. They've created this divide, whether intentional or not. I honestly wish they'd just acknowledge it and create story from it. It's right there for the taking.

Dante is just being supportive of Sonny, which does not mean he dislikes Carly and Micheal and thinks they are wrong to feel what they do, and unlike Nina cheer squad he pointed out more than once to Sonny that he needs to give Carly space and tried to explain to Sonny why Sonny protecting Nina is hurtful to Carly. Sonny chose to ignore his wise advice.

Did Sonny take his medicine and if not why doesn't he want to all of a sudden? Don't think they
offered a good explanation. Dante seems like he knows and is just letting his dad go off the
rails. Michael has hardly had any scenes with Sonny. Now all of a sudden Kristina in on. IDK
