I expected nothing less from Joss and Trina. These two are extremely close. And Cameron is nearly as close to Trina as Joss is.

I was pleasantly surprised that Spencer got angry with Esme. Even after her tears and his apology, when Esme thought all was forgiven, his last look out the window tells me it isn't. That shows a bit of growth.

What bugs me the most is continuing the scene at the cabin in the same night. If Trina had been tranquilized and had liquor, she would probably have been out all night. The writers wanted the discussion between Esme/Spencer and Joss/Trina to be juxtaposed, but it took a huuuuggggeee suspension of disbelief to accept Trina slept for a couple of hours and was then fresh as a daisy. And Joss and Cameron hadn't had showers? Okay, maybe Joss did, but Cameron hadn't. Ewwww.

Well, Trina said she still felt groggy. But it wasn't Esme's intention to knock her out. She apparently just gave her enough alcohol + drug to loosen Trina's tongue and make her feel ill.

It's quite likely that throwing up helped Trina avoid the worst of the effects. I'm not sure how much she drank altogether since we only saw a few sips. But, however much it was, she got woozy and sick, so it's realistic that she would still feel a bit out of it later but not the totally drugged out having inadvertently gotten rid of some.

I missed the part about Trina saying she threw up. Yes, that would have helped.

I hate how we are still talking about these college students like they are 15

I saw posts about how the teens shouldn't have been drinking and about how Spencer was awful because he didn't dump Esme.

I feel like ALL of those complaints were addressed today. Trina had one drink. Trina wouldn't answer the door. Trina was happy Joss told off Esme. Spencer spoke up for his friends.

      Did people change their minds?
I thought everyone overreacted from the get go. Trina had 3 sips and got humiliated and got the hell out of the room. Joss checked on her and gave her the space she asked for. It's not like Trina had several drinks that might alarm Joss.

"ScrubsFan#1 commented Teens are dumb??? That's a pretty insulting generalization of an entire mass group of people."

Okay some teens can be dumb.

"Trina, Joss, and Cameron have been shown to have MORE grace, class, and maturity than most of the adults in PC."

Very true! Although Joss can be like Carly sometimes.

"And why would anybody be mad at Trina after knowing how badly she had been humiliated and violated???"

I don't know.. You just never know what people will be mad at.

Joss is actually incredibly sharp and intelligent - speaks her mind when she needs to be heard - isn't afraid to stand up for what and who she believes in. Yes - just like Carly - and I don't think there is one thing wrong with it.

Trina and Cam are very likeable, sweet, and intelligent as well.

This is a GREAT group of friends.

And once Spence realizes what a horror show Esme is - he will be much better off - and he and Trina could be great together.

I wouldn’t say teens are dumb necessarily…just incredibly naive, over emotional, and inexperienced. I have two of my own. Both of them are incredibly book smart- but kind of lack when it comes to common sense. But the oldest is across the country at college now and he’s learning to adjust. My two younger ones seem like they are completely opposite. It’s always half a dozen of one or six of the other.

I’m kind of partial to cam and Trina though because they seem like really, really good kids. There is a realism when it comes to both. I loved kid Spencer. Would like to see if he grows after getting out of jail.

It is just something that people often say. It like a "catch all" like being Naive could be included in that generalization. Nit picking is really a waste of time and energy.... Like this is.

Joss can be like Carly sometimes. I like Carly. She is strong woman, like her or not, you always know where you stand with her. It takes guts to be who you are and be honest with people. I know a couple that act really nice when they are BOTH (my name) "fake and snake" both of them...Husband and wife. They appear to be really different than each other but they are basically the same kind of people. Joss is a lot like Carly. the actress even resembles LW. I like both of them a lot.

My opinion hasn't changes. I love Trina amd would love for her to get a nice story of her own. Joss, Cam, and Spencer are disposable. Especially Joss she is immature and highly annoying.

Nope I haven't changed my mind .Joss should have stayed with Trina you don't let the injured party decide if they need help or not they might not be in the right frame of mind to judge . Joss 100% should have realized something was up with Trina . Trina has drank before with out these consequences .I also haven't changed my mind that the show should have had a PSA about drugged drinks & over drinking .in college girls & what can happen to them . You don't leave your best friend to OD or die while vomiting .

Even an allergic reaction or food poisoning could need medical help. I just wouldn't find it the #best time ever to have my first set experience

          • #24
I have to be honest that if my best friend was in a small group of six, had one drink, blurted out something embarrassing and then ran to her room, I would check on her. If she said she just wanted to be left alone, I would. It would never cross my mind that she might have been drugged. Who worries about that? Not even on a soap opera with the mob and the Cassadines would it cross my mind to worry about that. I would have been MORE worried that she ate something bad than worried that she would have been drugged. And by the way you should NOT drink with ANY opiate - but no one knew she had an opiate. They all drank the same alcohol and it was one drink.

This. After a couple a sips of a drink among a small group of friends, I would think allergy or food poisoning before drugging.

"Laura Luke commented They've drank before at the party with Oscar"

Oh sure, but they are not heavy drinkers.

"plus Cam spent 2 yes on probation for buying pot."

Oh yes he sure did. He learned a really big lesson.

"Also you can't tell me any teen or even tween in this day & age doesn't know about drugs"

Yeah, but they thought it was the drinking that made Trina sick.

All of that is valid but they already don't trust Esme so why wouldn't they think she tampered with the drinks . My problem is it should have been used to show all of these issues that go on with college students and add a PSA it would have been a much better angle for the writers

No. It hasn’t. You could tell that Trina was trying to put on a brave face. She was still bothered and there was still an undercurrent of…something between all of them. I’m over this trio. I like two out of the three but am ready for them to do their own thing at this point. I like Trina with Ava but it still loops her back to Spencer who doesn’t deserve her. Frankly, none of the others deserve her.

Sorry, but if Trina has any lingering resentment or upset toward Joss and Cam -- and I haven't seen any evidence that she does -- then she would be a dog in the manger.

Trina considered dating Cam and decided she wasn't into him. Months and months and months later, Cam and Joss started dating. Joss immediately asked Trina if she was okay with it and Trina wholeheartedly said yes, it was fine. Trina, in fact, had always known that Cam had a crush on Joss.

If Trina feels bad that her two best friends are dating and she doesn't have anyone, then it is time for her to look for someone. I don't think there's anything wrong with her being single, but if she really wants a boyfriend, she can go out and find one. She's intelligent, attractive and has a good personality, so it's not like there would be no one interested.

I think Trina's problem is that she is drawn to Spencer and 1) he has a girlfriend and 2) on some level she realizes that he's not really a completely upstanding guy. If he was, he wouldn't have stalked Ava, and he wouldn't have strung Trina along while not mentioning that he had a girlfriend.

But that's Trina's issue with Spencer (and Esme), not an issue with Joss and Cam.

Not sure if I’m misinterpreting what you are saying, so my apologies up front. Her outburst IMO wasn’t because of any feelings for Cam
              - it was more because she feels left out which is understandable. But that made it cam’s and joss’ responsibility to assuage her of those feelings - which to me didn’t mean for them to start getting down.

Everyone apologized in the morning - but the way the scene was left it seemed that they weren’t all completely comfortable over that. Trina spoke her truth. You can’t just bottle that back up. I liked the idea of her an Spencer at first but it’s gone on too long now. The longer that it goes the more Spencer is looking like he isn’t worthy enough for her.

I agree about Trina’s feelings for Spencer. I loved Spencer as a kid and I want to like him now - and I still like him now but have no reservations that he’s done some bad things and isn’t really growing form it. That being said though - Trina is just too good for him. I hate that old trope - bad guy meets good girl and becomes a better person. It’s so misogynistic to me. Women shouldn’t have to be a man’s therapist.

I think we're sort of circling around the same idea, and I'm sorry for sounding like I'm jumping on your post. I do think it's natural for Trina to feel a little left out when her two besties are dating, and you're right, she can't just erase that feeling. But I don't think Joss and Cam can do anything more to fix that. If they were making out in front of her, or canceling plans with her to be with each other, or if Joss was kicking Trina out of their shared dorm room so she could have sex with Cam, then I would say Cam and Joss were at fault. But they did nothing wrong by choosing to have sex in what they thought was the privacy of their bedroom while Trina was asleep in another room. (And Joss checked on her again later that same night.) I feel that if Trina feels bad because she doesn't have a boyfriend, then she needs to address that herself, either by telling herself to get over it or by going out and looking for someone. I agree that the writers are making Trina the Good Girl whose love will straighten out Spencer, and you're absolutely right, it's a tired trope that is very misogynistic.

Yeah very good point!!!! I wonder if they will figure it all out later.. Probably not. Nobody knows that she locked the door when Gladys and Sasha were in the room at Ava's art gallery.
