If Jason is recast, what about the actor who played AJ (Sean Kanan)? I’d prefer for Jason to remain dead, but I think the actor who played AJ could reallly nail Jason as a recast.

I think it was intentionally left open-ended so that the story could go either way. Once the scene was filmed, had Burton decided to stay Jason would have only been missing for a week, that's my theory anyway.

They probably didn’t have time to set up a more complicated ending. I would have preferred he’d been revealed as Peter’s killer and gone to prison for it. That would have appeased Jason fans because killing a villain could be seen as heroic. Non fans would like it because he’s deserved to be locked up many times over the years. It would have gotten him off the canvas indefinitely, while leaving the door open for his return.

Not forced to leave. He decided the job wasn't right for him, based on the employer's requirements. He obviously felt that the job was not worth getting vaccinated. Right or wrong he has that choice. But it was a choice.

Agreed. While I wouldn't be surprised to see SB show up on Y&R again, the door was left open for him to return to GH when the circumstances are right. So why put another actor or the audience through an unnecessary recast?

SB was not fired; he quit when he wasn't willing to fulfill the requirements of the position.

I actually expected to see a shrouded figure crawl out of the rubble... Just to give us hope. Kind of like that last look at Holly in captivity, or seeing Lucky held captive after the fire.

I agree also. I respect the decisions of both SBu and the showrunners. Definitely hope they do not do to another Jason recast what they did to BM and just dump him if/when SBu becomes a viable choice once again.
