I agree. One’s freedom ends at the tip of another’s nose. There is nothing his coworkers could do to protect themselves short of quitting and that’s not fair to them. From what I know of him, he has other interests and his decision let’s him explore those. I’ve been enjoying the Jason stories lately, but it’s the right decision.

He made a medical decision for himself. I for one am glad to see him stick to principles over a paycheck

I hope the recast will have a great relationship with his children.....And While I neither enjoyed Jason in the past few months nor do I care about JaBritt...I still respect SB's decision (granted I also think it is super Selfish...but nonetheless...I get it..lol)....

I am sad to see SBu leave: I have actually enjoyed his character once he broke up with Sam!!
As to the future: recast. No character is sacred. Too many story lines that Jason is involved in: Peter, Britt, and dealing with post amnesia Sonny.
His oldest is a teenager.
The relationship with his twin.
Recast!!

For a few moments today, for purely selfish reasons, I was ticked about today's announcement. Thanks to SB's decision, GH fans:- Don't get to see Britta and Original Jason become a NEW and possibly BIG soap couple (and all that this could have entailed ... including Original JaSam/Liason dealing with it plus the kids).
- Don't get to see Original Jason with Carly reacting to Sonny loving Nina. And would it have led to Jarly reuniting?
- Don't get to see the mobster's response to Original Jason for blowing 2 of them up during his wedding to Carly. Which was a pretty bad ass move even for SB's Jason.
- Don't get to see even one half of the Original Q twins together getting to know one another ... FINALLY.
I'm sorry but SB's decision for himself trickles over to characters, fans and actors. AND it could negatively affect GH ratings ... and soap operas need ratings to survive. And I assume they were paying him a pretty good paycheck to help them do it.
Its one thing for him to get offered a better gig or for him to really want to try new things ... or move for family etc......but to leave when 95% of his colleagues did what he didn't ... while he claims to LOVE working on the show? It just feels so confusing and so off.
Or maybe I'm the one confused and off cuz I do believe in individual and human rights too.
Dang, dang and dang. It sucks all the way around. Unless perhaps you are not a Jason fan.

I have no problem losing Jason, I've never understood the love for the glorified hitman. People are losing their mind all over the internet. Can someone explain his appeal? He is portrayed as a dead beat dad who rarely cares about his kids. He has never moved me in any scenes, his love affair with Sam is just as boring as Willow and Michael, in my opinion. After losing his memory of being a Quartermaine, the character has never progressed or changed. The only time I've found him remotely interesting was recently with Britt. I hope they don't recast. I wish American Soaps would be more like the UK ones, where actors take turns, some get pushed to the background while others have their chance to shine. While losing Steve is shocking and unprecedented, I agree with ABC.Last edited by Troystar; November 24, 2021, 09:10 PM.

As a healthcare worker in the hardest hit state right now I'm relieved. This is a good opportunity to explore Jason Q

I hope they don't recast. Not because I don't like Jason but because they do too much of that at GH these days or having some actors play multiple roles... It really weakens the suspension of disbelief when characters change faces or when an actor is cast in three different roles.Last edited by MistahMan; November 25, 2021, 07:57 PM.

I'm still in disbelief. I had just started to really really like Jason/Britt and this happens.

I hope they don’t recast . GH did fine with out him 2012-2014 and they can do it again. If they MUST recast just have everyone pretend that’s how Jason always looked . No more plastic surgery .

jason should NOT Be recast. unless they make him a Q again i dont want it. i dont understand why jason the hitman is so vital, yet AJ, Emily justice, georgie and others, aren't. he's a glorified hitman. that's it he's not Mr. General hospital. he's sonny and carlys lapdog who puts them in front of his own kids. and I Wouldn't buy a recast as jason. he'll just end up being a twin again when SB Decides he want to come backLast edited by brigros; November 24, 2021, 04:45 PM.
