Anybody else getting Sabrina vibes from Willow at the Hospital

Felix and Liz talking to new student, who is over eager? I feel like if Willow was wearing glasses, it was just a script from when Sabrina came on staff that was recycled. Sabrina ended up with Michael, before she died, look out Willow.

Actually I got nauseous vibes when I saw that they were trying to make her in to Florence Nightingale.

I don’t think she’ll end up like Sabrina, they (the writers) have invested a lot in building her up - noble self-sacrificing blah blah blah. Honestly what I’ve seen is the exact opposite, for me they’ve made her more and more unlikable.

I don’t know. I was honestly surprised they killed Sabrina. The show spent a lot of time building her up too. I hated her and Michael though in retrospect she had more personality than Willow and didn’t completely lose her essence when paired with him as Willow has - but I was still surprised when she was killed.

So, while I agree that it seems unlikely they would kill off Willow, you never know. They might do it. ??‍♀️

^^I hated the writers made Sabrina "the voice of reason" who convinced Michael to give Avery back to Sonny. That was the best storyline CD's Michael ever got, but TPTB got frightened and backed away from it.

The more they put Willow on this perfect, self-sacrificing, saintly, never is in the wrong pedestal the more I hate her!

I do too. She's not only dull, but she's being shoved down our throats as something that the actions they write for her show us clearly that she is not.

I don't understand why they have dialogue that tries to tell us that the actions we see aren't what they are. It's like when everyone talks about what a perfect and wonderful man Sonny is, but on screen, he's a freaking mobster. Mobsters are not good people. They are criminals whose occupation is to harm people in many ways.

Mary. Poppins goes to Nursing school. Writers are trying to make her into this saintlycharacter right after she humped Michael in the middle of Wileys birthday party and forgets she has a husband. Has the nerve to go back to party like nothing happened. This girl is no Angel. She done trashed her halo.

Mary Poppins goes to Nursing School. That is the perfect description. I suspect the writers are thisclose to having her burst into "Just a Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down" when she's handing out meds. Oh, how I hate what the writers have done to Willow.

when was the last time that a "perfect" character was really popular and a fan favorite? Sabrina was given that treatment and she was hated by viewers. Even after they toned it down, I don't think the character ever recovered and floundered around the canvas until she was given the death sentence (a.k.a paired with Michael). Willow is the new Sabrina, the Charity and Babe Carey of GH.

A good character needs to have flaws and most importantly, for those flaws not to be glossed over by other characters. the main problem with the character Willow is that the writers are so invested in making her come off so saintly and perfect. She can do no wrong, even when she's cheating on her husband. Michael and everyone is falling all over her, praising her about how self-sacrificing she is. Chase is trying to give her a pass. We've seen her as a nurse in training once and we have to sit through dialogue of what a great nurse she'll make. the more they shove how great she is down my throat, the more I wanna barf it all up.

I blocked out most of the babe years on amc yet I can still remember her red teary eyes. reminds me of the constant 'i smelled something bad' expression on willow's face

Saintly characters, and girls that date Michael don't tend to last very long, and this girl has the unfortunate luck of being both of those things. Something tells me that at some point Nelle is gonna come back from "the great beyond" and kill her off.

She can't be Mary Poppins/Florence Nightingale and the awful witch who's so mean to Chase at the same time. Is she goody goody or baddy baddy? Seriously. For me she is neither. She is just a confused young trauma survivor who needs loads of therapy.

I agree with lala214 that the writers promote Willow as this kind, self-sacrificing near saint. "She makes mistakes but they come from a good place in her heart." I so want the old Willow back, the one with spunk who would have never dithered between Michael and Chase without being honest with both of them up front. But she's long gone, and I doubt she will ever return.

Well if we can all see that she's not a saint, I'm sure they don't intend for us to see her that way.

She will be the star of the Nurses ball soon. It’s sickening to me. I want to see Ryan kill her and Wiley so Michael can turn bitter and evil like his Mother and bio great grandfather.

Liz and Felix talking about how awesome she is, was completely nauseating. It wasn't even a one-off line but a conversation about the princess.

With Sabrina, a difference to me was at least, the very least, Sabrina had a personality and some backbone. Additionally, she joined GH because she had a passion to be a nurse. Willow was more like "um, now what? Guess I'll try becoming a nurse!"

I liked Sabrina all along, and understood the hate of the character propping. I really don't remember anyone saying she would be the GNOAT (greatest nurse of all time) but thought her high scores were noted when she was graduating. But again, she came in with the passion. Willow did not.

Who didn't see this coming? OF COURSE Willow is going to be the bestest, greatest, most awesomest nurse ever! All nurses in the future will whisper her name with reverence! All hail nurse Willow! I am so tired of them trotting out Felix to sing the praises of yet another nurse wannabe. They wonder why some Mary Sue-type characters are panned by a lot of the viewing audience; watch yesterday's scenes and it's pretty clear why.

LOL maybe she will end up on a pedestal as one of the legendary nurses of GH along with Jessie and her blue sweater (older viewers will know what I mean)

I suspect that is what the writers intend. For me, to save this character, she needs to make a mistake that endangers a patient. I can see a scenario where she thinks she knows more than she really does (the old "knows just enough to be dangerous" stage), and it impacts a patient. Another nurse is blamed, so Willow would need to woman-up, admit she was the one who made the mistake, and accept the consequences. No Michael riding to her rescue once she is suspended, no crying on Michael's shoulder that she didn't mean to hurt anyone. I would like that this might create a couple enemies for Willow, because there needs to be someone on this show who doesn't think she's a perfect angel. Willow was at her best when she was going toe to toe with MS's Nina over Charlotte. Where did that Willow go?

Ugh, Willow... I keep hoping they kill her off as a casualty of the Novak mob stuff and revenge spurs Michael to get involved w/ the mob. I could see grief and revenge sending him into a mob spiral. We know they love to kill off Michael's love interests because its when we get the best out of CD and we all knew Michael was headed this way one day.

Any of the parts of Willow I kinda liked, how she was always willing to throw down w/ Nina and the backbone she showed when she took her lumps and went to jail to protect Wiley from Shiloh, have all been erased by this wishy washy, weak little church mouse of a character they are writing. I'm not even mad about the affair and I'd have way more respect for it if it were hot and steamy and they did it during the toddler's bday party because they are just that hot for each other but noooooo... we can't even have them be lustful and fun. Its got to be this gloomy and gross grief sex because god forbid these two saintly characters be written as having a selfish or "negative" thought, desire, or action.

Sabrina was one of my favorite characters, especially paired with Felix. I wasn't happy when her character got killed off. However, if having Saint Willow go to nursing school means we can see more of Felix, then I'm all for it!!
