This is true in order for the currently Jarly wedding to make sense.

That's exactly why this Jarly MOC makes no sense ... for years the 5 families knew Jason was the heir to Sonny's organization, they dealt with Jason all the time. They also knew Jason was temporarily unavailable during his false jail imprisonment (mob families understand how that works), and yes, Carly attended a meeting and called the shots for a short time while Jason was indisposed, but you can't convince me that those same 5 families didn't expect and assume that as soon as Jason was free he would step into the role as the heir to Sonny's org. The 5 families also know how close Jason and Carly are, it's part of their business to know the family members and close friends of their enemies, so they know that Jarly are BFFs and that Carly would let Jason take over as soon as he was available.

But yes, now that they are setting this precedent with the current Jarly MOC storyline, then yes, I think both Carly and Jason have to die if Sonny wants to take back control of his territory. Or Sonny has to die so Carly and Jason can continue to be "married" and run the org. Either way, someone needs to die, or at the very least disappear forever according to the current MOC storyline. It's all so stupid!

My dream is once Sonny returns the Jason/Carly/Sonny bond is forever severed and Jason and Sonny have their own turf war over the territory. And everyone will have to choose a side.

I think once everyone finds out that Sonny is alive that he will still have amnesia for a while because of course they will want to draw this story out as long as possible. And as Mike he won’t be interested. Who knows what will happen if he finally gets his memories back.
