Ned and Edward kinda are cut from the same cloth

Edward might have been a philanderer like Monica said, but let's not forget that Ned was once a bigamist.

Ned is a milder version of Edward! He was raised by his mother who worshipped, but wared against her father. So consequently, Ned subconciously acquired his grandfather's personality and character traits. However, I don't think Ned loves Olivia as much as Edward loved Lila.
Although Olivia maybe willing to forgive Ned, Ned is likely to respond in like fashion anytime there is a relationship challenge (jealousy opportunity).
I think both Monica and Ned's mom need to have an intervention with Ned regarding Edward and the pain and disappointment he caused Lila and the Q family legacy.

I hope Olivia doesn't forgive Ned any time soon. This is the 2020s. Lila was two generations removed. But I agree about Ned being a mild version of Edward and also that Ned does not love Olivia as much as Edward loved Lila. (Of course, we never saw Edward and Lila when they were Ned's age.)

Why give Ned an intervention meant for Edward?

One thing that they have in common is they are both fixed to ELQ...

Eh, Ned is a technical bigamist because he got blackmailed into it, not an opportunistic one. There's a difference. Ned sleeping with Alexis while married to Olivia might be the only time he's ever been unfaithful to anyone, at least while Wally Kurth has played him.

I don;t think Olivia will be Lila though and
stand by or put up with Ned stepping out on her.
If he came clean now right away ..there may be hope for them but the longer he lets this go on
the worse cuz then Olivia will feel he made a fool of her.. and i don;t think Liv will get over that.

Ned will deserve whatever wrath he gets from
        Liv when she finds out.

Olivia is very traditional when it comes to marriage. She will not forgive Ned. They will divorce.

There are defintely some similarities between the two. I actually love how they are expanding Ned this way. Brooklynn is her Grandmother through and through and Ned is becoming his grandfather who was so focused on ELQ at certain times of his life that it caused issues with his family. One thing i didnt think about until reading this post.. Edward was essentially the only father figure Ned had growing up so it makes sense. Unrelated but how would people feel about Ned and Olivia having a child? i always thought it would be great for Ned to have a few more

I think Olivia is past her child bearing years. She was in her40's when she had Leo. They could adopt. It's too bad they didn't hook up 11 years ago. How is Brook Lyn like sweet Lila? I can see how she's a chip off Lois.

I had to laugh at that scene because as use Monica was a philanderer, too. She 'philandered' with Ned.?? (Shee didnt know that he was Alan's nephew at the time.)

The first Ned before Wally took over, slept with Monica when she was at a place away from P.C. Monica didn't know Ned was Alan's nephew.

Alan had a lot of patience to put up with his serial cheating wife. But he was no saint in that area either. Prior to his affair with Monica, did Ned appear on the soap as a child or teen? Wasn't he in boarding school? Were his parents neglectful. A friend told me Tracy was a better, more attentive mom to Dillon. She was older and wiser. I really liked the actor who played the 1st adult Matt on GL. I was surprised Matt and Vanessa divorced. I did feel bad for Ned when Dawn dumped him on their wedding day.

Who killed his paramour crazy Wendy anyway? She was blackmailing Ned and Monica. Monica caught them in the shower during his engagement. I recall Wendy was killed on a carousel ride. She tried to stab Dawn at the bridal shop.

I only remember Ned as a kid appearing once. Tracy brought him home from an English boarding when she was trying to get back in Edward’s good graces. They dressed the child up in sort of nerdy boarding school attire.
