So Much Talk About Sonny/Jason the Mobsters, What About the FRIENDS?

Jason was so amazing as Sonny's FRIEND today, but we never hear any mention of their brotherhood - only the negatives on their mob activity (which has been limited in recent years), and their "heroism."

Can we please change the topic to focus on another part of their relationship?

Ah yes the Sason bromance.

Yes they are loyal friends. And I disagree
with those who say Sonny took advantage
of brain damaged Jason and somehow lured him into the mob.. That is not what I SAW on my screen.. and I saw the whole story..

Sonny accepted Jason for who he was after
the accident. He gave Jason the non mob job
at the request of Robin. It was on the dock
Jason was bored doing that work and wanted more.. Sonny let him but alway warned him that she should not want the life...

Jason has alway been good with Sonny as we saw today and Jason has been the one to protect Sonny and deal with the fallout during some of Sonny breakdowns.

Sonny knew Jason Q and Jason Q didn;t particularly like Sonny. But after the accident
Sonny accepted Jason as he was he gave
Jason a job he let Jason prove himself (with
repeated warning about the life) Jason himself said
many times he made the choice .

But as much as we make fun of the bromance
with Sason.. They are a long established friendship that has weathered a lot..
Alot of people have come and gone in Jason
life as Jason Morgan but Sonny has pretty much been the one constant..

Today was a great day for the Sason friendship
and Jason was very good with Sonny..And Sonny is comfortable and trustful of Jason enough to show that very vulnerable side of himself..

I saw the whole story too and Sonny most definitely took advantage. He never should have hired Jason to work for him. The first job he gave him was NOT on the dock, it was making money deliveries to various suppliers Sonny worked with. Alan walked into Luke's club one day and saw Sonny handing him the envelope. The look on Alan's face was heartbreaking. You can try to pretty up Sonny's motives all you want but at the end of the day he is a criminal who makes his living breaking the law while he has the gall to criticize and look down his nose at others.

I think that’s a great idea. However MOST ppl who don’t like them won’t offer a compliment in any form because they can’t see pass their disdain of the characters.

Why should they? Sonny fans have always amazed me the way they rationalize everything he does and if others don't agree, they are not seeing Sonny's "soft" side. Viewers like or dislike certain characters and no one should have to justify who they don't like. Sonny is basically a selfish narcissistic bully. If other viewers love him, so be it. But those of us who don't are entitled to our opinion.

eileenregina I’m a viewer who can watch a character I like &/or dislike & give credit where it’s due. I don’t fit in the category you just described. Do I like sonny? He’s ok. However he’s NOT the reason I watch GH nor is he my favorite character. Do I rationalize everything he does? NO! Do I like everything he does? NO! Idk how you received all of that from my post where none of that is stated.

BTW complimenting a character doesn’t mean you stan him/her. It’s simply that, a compliment. My comments are my opinions should you disagree ??♀️ Good day.

I loved the scene myself...Sonny was there when Jason needed a true friend..when he his self was going through a terrible time with his memory problems..after AJ crashed in to a wall...
they have been there for each other through the good the bad and the ugly, for Years, they are what you call true friends..They are so connected they can feel each others pain... and I dont see it as a ass kisser or lap dogs as they have been called. I see this as a true friendship... When they need each other... they are there when the time comes.. It's my opinion of them because most soaps don't have friendships... and Im glad Jason and Sonny are exactly that..True Friendship...How Many women does GH show having this friendship... I wish they would show Women on the show with a deep friendship as Jason and Sonny have...but we dont. I like it when they show this from 2 major lead characters showing a nice side.. Mob Men are not as cold hearted as people think... they have feelings too. The scene was GREAT!!!.. JMO...

How often do we get to see Jason and Sonny both in tears in the same scene? The last time we had this much emotion between the two of them was when they were reunited in the safe house.

I just want to see more appreciation for their friendship vs their working relationship because they are AWESOME.
