Carly said something like that. I almost fell over laughing. She is the most dense person on the show. I think the worst man prize goes to her wonderful husband Sonny. What Julian has done doesn't hold a candle to what Sonny has done.

Yes I agree. I get tired of Sonny bossing everything like pressuring Brad to plead guilty. At least Julian doesn’t listen to him. The arrogance of the Corinthos family is why I’ll never be on their side.Comment

Thank you, thank you thank you for all these comments. People love to bring up Julian putting a knife to Alexis' throat. At least he did it to save her life b/c Olivia was going to kill her, but God forbid someone bring up sanctimonious Sonny's violent actions towards Carly. -
But he did threaten to kill Carly (who was his ex at the time) if Olivia died after taking a bullet meant for Sonny; he blamed Carly.

I have thought it’s been pretty clear that I don’t actually like Sonny in and of himself and think Carly should not be married to him. But, I don’t write it. I just don’t follow the argument that Sonny, Jason, Carly, or Sam is so terrible they shouldn’t exist but other “faves” Nelle, Cyrus, Julian, Ava, Valentin, Franco they are so swell. They seem all the same to me but there’s some overarching idea that they are somehow not just like Sonny. It’s awkward because because there’s so much righteousness in it all. It’s senseless.Comment

I think it is more about (at least it is for me) that those other characters you mention are town pariahs and hated by other characters as they should be, but Sonny & Co. are some kind of demi-gods who are adored by half the citizens on the show. If Sonny and Jason were written as real mobsters and treated the way they should be, they would not bother me so much. Sonny getting on his high horse preaching about how bad various other crime lords are is ridiculous. Jason is also the town hero; with him I like to think that part of him remains Jason Q who was a nice guy who wanted to help others and was taken advantage of by greedy, selfish Sonny after he lost his memory. The Stepford Sonny fans will protest otherwise, but I saw what I saw.

Julian is much worse than Sonny. Sonny as bad as he is never endangered his children directly with his knowledge, Julian is still choosing to hurt Lucas as long as it means he stays in the clear. Does he think Lucas wouldn't be more hurt if Nelle gets Willey now? If you put Sonny in Julian's shoes and Michael in Lucas's place Sonny would have taken his chases then marrying someone like Nelle.

i can name several times sonny put his children in danger or hurt them directly, can we talk about how sonny killed Michaels father aj? or when sonny shot carly in the head while she was giving birth? or what about the time he almost blew kristina up which of course was an accident because he was trying to kill her boyfriend. or that time michael had to kill sonnys wife claudia in order to save his mother? or when he shot his son dante point blank. sonny is a GARBAGE father. -
LOL wasn't Michael almost just shot to death by one of Sonny's competitors? Along with Carly at the warehouse? How about Michael's first birthday when he received a gift wrapped bomb? How about the year Michael spent in a coma because he was hit with a bullet meant for - you got it - Sonny! Just being a child of his puts them in danger. BTW, why has it not occurred to anyone that Julian is going along with this because he thinks the judge will see him as a bad influence on a child and Michael will win custody?

Julian used Danny's cancer as way to make sure that Sonny didn't kill him. Sonny be alot of things, but he would never jeopardize a child's.ife just to save his own butt. That is why he is a better man.Comment

Oh, and Julian not banking his marrow? Good decision. Just because it was banked doesn't mean it would be viable years later. I'd also point out that Sonny is certainly culpable in Michael's rape. All he had to do was be honorable and stick to the deal he made with Anthony, but he was so hot to kill Johnny that he couldn't be bothered to honor the deal, thus leading to Michael having no protection.
It was very clear that A. was protecting Michael until Sonny reneged. -
How about that if Sonny/Jason hadn't covered up Michael's 100% SELF DEFENSE of Claudia (Sonny's wife) escaping with baby Joss, Michael would have NEVER gone to prison to begin with.

What Julian has done also doesn't compare to what Peter has done in his short time in PC. Considering one of Jason's projects is getting evidence of Peter's involvement with Drew's death, you'd think Peter would be high up on Sonny's crap list.Originally posted by sesca View PostComment
