  • Olivia need to shut the hell up

Last time I checked Dante left Lulu not the other way around.

She was also this way when Dante cheated on Lulu with her cousin. She just expected Lulu to forgive him.

I understand her loyalty to her son. But ultimately, this is none of her business. Unless she has reason to believe Dustin is a danger to Rocco and Lulu

There is nothing to be loyal too. Dante divorced his wife. She is allowed to move on.

I HATE saying this...... but Carly had a point. YES Lulu has the right to go on BUT WHY THE F does she feel the need to always parade him at the metro court. DID I hear right they were buy ing metro court cupcakes? GO to a dang bakery
(I have over the air and reception keeps buzzing out so I miss some)

Oh, wow. Okay. I was going by the Live Thread too. I guess I misread it. I thought he was there. In that case, I agree, it was bad form to ask for the recipe knowing how Olivia would feel, but I still think Olivia needs to back off a little. Dustin has done nothing to her and Lulu has a right to move on with her life. I’m hoping today’s conversation is a sign that she will back off some.

So Lulu whose husband first left her and than divorced her has to limit where she can and cannot go within Port Charles because Olivia is being irrational?

It's not out of the ordinary that Rocco would probably want to make his favorite cupcakes for his class. Those probably happen to be the recipe his grandmother has. I completely agree that Olivia has every right to be loyal to her son, but she also has a right to be loyal to her grandson. Dante walked out on him. For his own good or not, he left. She should be thankful that someone who is seemingly decent is making sure that her grandson is happy. And as far as always being at the MC, last I checked, that's where the Invader offices are located. So of course Lulu will be there a lot. Olivia needs to bite her tongue or get on the Lulu is moving on train.

Usually I'm on Lulu's side in their interactions, but it takes some gall to ask Olivia for a recipe so that this guy can take her grandchildren to a day celebrating Fathers at her school. Yes Dante left Lulu, but he was also in need of serious mental care and didn't want her to wait for him. So I get Lulu moving on, and I get Olivia still holding on.

lala214 Yes Rocco wanted Dustin there, but that didn't really change how I saw it. They sprung the Dads situation on her by asking her for a recipe. IMO, if they were going to ask her for any kind of help, they should have told her in advance (maybe not at work), what was going on. That's not something you spring on a mother in law that sees him as a replacement for her son. I also agree with your point that they haven't been dating that long but I chalk that up to soap dating. Dustin has been around the kids from day one of their dating life.

Olivia is NOT Lulu's mother-in law! She is the mother of her ex-husband and the grandmother of her son. I think Lulu is very respectful of this woman who has done more interfering in her marriage and always telling her what she should do. If Lulu was more like Carly or BrookLynn (outspoken, not big mouth), she would have told Olivia to step off a long time ago!

If it's Olivia's recipe and that's what Rocco wanted to bake for the event, they'd have to ask her for it either way. Lulu was up front and honest with her about why she needed it. This interpretation of Lulu annoys me, but the way Olivia is about her "holier than thou" son is ridiculous. If he wanted to be with Lulu, he would have asked her to wait. He didn't. Lulu is moving on so now it's time for Olivia.

I understand why Dante left but the bottom line is he left and has been gone a while now.

Yes, but unless I've missed it, this is the first time that Rocco has actually asked to be with someone else for a Father's day event. That was the difference to me in this scene.

Maybe Rocco is tired of being left out! Rocco had a right to ask Dustin to go with him. It's one thing for Olivia to keep holding on, but it's wrong of her to expect her grandson to miss out on events and for his mother to sit at home waiting to see IF Dante will return.

I'm not saying that Rocco didn't have a right to ask Dustin to join him, i just can understand Olivia's response.

It was in poor taste to go where Oliva works with Dustin and talk to her about bring your dad to school day. When she later explained Rocko wanting Dustin to go and wear the Yankees cap it wasn't as bad but this should have been a private conversation away from work. That was thoughtless. I'm glad Carly talked to Dustin too.

I don't believe Olivia being at work had anything to do with her reaction. If it had not been in public, she might have been screaming like a banshee. Lulu did not cause a scene. If it bothered Olivia to talk there, she could have taken Lulu to her office or into a hallway like Carly did. Olivia's main thing was let me tell her off as fast as I can. I get that she loves her son, but she can't blame Lulu for him walking away and at the root of it all, I believe she does.

How was it in poor taste? Rocco probably prefers the cupcakes from his grandmother's recipe and that's why Lulu ask for that specific recipe instead of going to a bakery. And last I checked, the Invader offices are located at the MC so Lulu works there, too. Olivia needs to understand and get over the fact that her son walked out on her grandson and that of course the guy Lulu is dating will eventually step up to the plate.

Lulu could have been much more sensitive to Olivia's feelings, if she had started the conversation with some of the facts that she explained later it would have gone down better. For now, Olivia has lost her son and the way Lulu was talking it seemed like Lulu was trying to erase Dante from Rocco's memory. She could have said the kids are all bringing Dads and since Dante can't go Rocco wanted to bring his friend Dustin and that Rocco loves his grandmother's cupcakes...

It would be nice if it wasn’t written that there is no place else to go. Frankly at this point if I were Lulu I would only have contact with Olivia as it pertains to Rocco. Enough. And it’s annoying that this is what Olivia has been reduced to. Trina is being painted with the same brush. GH never knows when to let it go. They can take a likable character to unlikable in the blink of an eye.

I was mad that they went there for cupcakes, what about the damn bakery with the pink boxes (forgot the name)??? Why could they not have gone there?
And to go to Olivia yet. Stupid.

Because Rocco likes his Gramma's cupcakes, maybe? Not stupid, Olivia is just determined that Lulu wait for Dante until when and if he gets better!

I didn't think Olivia was out of line at all. And that's saying something because when it comes to Lulu moving on with her life I find Olivia is often out of line. I also don't think Lulu did anything wrong, and I am a huge Lulu detractor. In other words, I thought all the conversations - Carly and Dustin, Olivia and Lulu, and Olivia and Dustin were wonderful, heartfelt character scenes. I was on everyone's side during them.

ICAM. It's not anyone's fault Dante is out of town. Lulu is Rocco's mother, and if she is moving on with her life and Rocco gets to like/admire/befriend "Uncle Dustin", then good for her. Olivia should be thankful Lulu's boyfriend is apparently a decent, stand up guy. One only has to look at Maxie to see how objectionable a new boyfriend can be.

And, as usual, Carly was out of line too. Who is she to tell Dustin to back off ?

Carly didn't tell Dustin to back off. She was merely trying to explain Olivia's behavior and ask him to see it thru Olivia's eyes. Which is something a friend would do for a friend!

Like Dustin needs to have Olivia's "behavior" explained to him? This isn't even the first time Olivia's voiced her displeasure at their relationship.

I agree Lulu has the right to move on with her life but I can't stand that she acts shocked and clueless when her former mother-in-law doesn't do cartwheels over the new boyfriend. Seriously Lulu??? You can't figure that one out? Especially after she throws a big handful of salt on the wound with the Bring Your Father to School thing. I get that it was Rocco's idea but there really was no reason Olivia ever had to know about it. Pretty sure Rocco wouldn't care if it was Grandma's cupcake recipe or not and if it was that dang important Lulu could have gone to MC ALONE to get the recipe. Olivia has always been over the top about Dante so Lulu should know better than to "poke the bear". Pretty sure all this Dante talk is pointing to his return, especially since DZ has said he'd like to come back.

Lulu should not poke the bear and neither should Olivia! Lulu should not have to walk on eggshells around Olivia. Maybe it's time for Lulu to start responding in kind to Olivia. Olivia may be older than Lulu, but Lulu is a grown woman too and should not get slapped down for trying to move on with her life. I'm not really a Lulu fan, but I believe if you want respect, you have to give it, no matter how old or young you are!

Olivia needs to chill the hell out with Lulu. She should be thankful Dustin is there for her grandson because she knows her son walked away. Besides. Her angle is getting old when she’s allowing Ned to bond with Leo and Jillian has to settle with visitation #GH

Why did Olivia have to bother to ask why Dustin and Rocco were baking cupcakes? Couldn't she have just been happy to give them a little baking advice? Lulu was asked and gave a straightforward answer. I thought she was more than "sensitive" about Olivia's feelings and has been for quite a while.

Lulu isn't like Olivia or she would have told her to step off a long time ago. There is no way Olivia could continue to talk to BrookLynn the way she talks to Lulu. If you'll notice, when she thinks BrookLynn is wrong and they have a 'family conference', she does not take the same tone with BrookLynn. If she did, she'd get as good as she gives. Lulu won't do that.
