Being home without much to do these days until this outbreak is over, made me start watching old time GH.... I watched BJ’s death and the after effect of it. All I can say is that has to be one of the best if not the best story ever told on GH.... The writing was top notch. (Nothing like today GH) and the acting! Tony, Bobbi,Felica,Mac,Lucy,Alan,Monica,Amy,Dr Hardy, Luke, Laura and Ruby was just perfection!! That’s what makes a soap! Today Fortunately GH is an hour of wasted TV! It’s just terrible! Why won’t the powers that be let these characters that we know and love be front and center?? Every day it’s played out Sonny! Screaming Carly! I hate Carly, but love Laura Wright since her Loving days and boring Jason and Sam! With people being home the writes should be on fire with top notch stories, but instead they are killing the show more and more each day! At this rate I won’t be surprised if it lasts another year. ???

Right there with you. I remember sobbing my heart out that day - I don't mean just filling up but really breaking down and crying and wiping my nose on my sleeve, LOL! The other time was Stone's death - I will never forget him saying "I see you Robin, I see you" as he was dying. Another time I lost it. Those were the days all right.

That was the brilliant writing of Claire Labine. She was able to put a pause on the mobsters and focus on stories from the heart. Unfortunately, Tony Geary hated her writing since she tried to make Luke a "homebody".

The funny thing about that is Luke was never a "homebody" under her writing at all, so I have no idea what he meant by that. Luke opened a blues/jazz club and had several on the road adventures against the bad guys. It is not llike he turned into a 9-5 office worker with a briefcase.

Claire Labine was a true genius, IMO. I (still) miss her. RIP

Those episodes just were perfect/ The acting just seemed so real. for everyone The writing drew me in. (When things are done well my brain can turn off some logic about the wonderful horrible coincidence of someone dying JUST at the right moment to give life to another. )
The more hidden work on the show mush have been great too . I mean camera work editing etc
YES it is an UGLY crying episode. Not just gentle tearing up here

I didn't know the little girl named B.J.
Would the storyline still be emotional without knowing the little girl who died? I obviously knew Tony Jones and Bobbie, etc.

The most poignant moment to me was when Felicia realized the heart Maxie was getting belonged to BJ. Felicia's best acting.Last edited by taramartin; May 14, 2020, 08:08 AM.
