Unpopular Opinion re Michael and Nelle

Nelle's entire storyline was a monstrous fail as soon as she wasn't Carly's daughter. That was what the story called for. As soon as they determined not to go there and then proceeded with the whole Michael and Nelle pairing mess it was DOA. As for this custody business, surely if Michael unfit because of a fake marriage, Nelle should be unfit for her list of documented missteps. Really Wiley should end up in foster care if the judge determines Michael unfit, because Nelle is surely less fit. I consider it a possible blessing that there is every chance that this story will never be finished because GH might never return.

I believe our TV shows will be back soon. Things are changing with the distancing and stay at home loosening up. Let's hope for the best since we are true GH fans.

I can't really remember when Michael became involved with her and when he dumped her. I do remember some things that stuck out:

--He had kept defending her to his mother but then he caught her in a lie where she had said Nina gave her tickets for them to see "Dear Evan Hansen" in New York City as a reason to keep him from attending some family event. Nina said she had done no such thing. I don't think Michael dropped her then but he realized that Nelle was lying to him.

--He found the engagement ring from the dead fiance that she had just claimed she didn't have. At that point he was still ready to hire a private investigator (Curtis?) to clear her of Zach's murder.

--He learned that she had sold the ring in order to make a donation to the Morgan memorial fund and suck up to the Corinthos family.

But I can't remember what Michael's breaking point was.

I believe the breaking point was when she claimed she was helpless to save zach and he discovered (I forgot how..chase?fiance's sister?yearbook?)that she had been on the swimming team and surely would have been able to rescue him.

That part bothered me. I guess she made sure the kayak went down.She was after money. But even a good swimmer can't save everyone. BUt I guess she told them she couidn't swim at the time She could have just lied and said she tried . Most swimmers I know do learn life saving and get jobs as guards but not all.and even trained may not save all
BUT again it shows what a liar she is.

She tried to kill him and stole his kid. She tried to destroy his mother, striped her father down and tried to have her mother committed to a mental hospital. They shouldn’t be a couple.

That was all because they decided to rewrite Nelle, she wasn’t like that at first. They can fix her.

detective chace filled in michael on the case of nelles fiancee death and how she USED him to get off free and made him lose his job....oh one of the lies was nelle told michael that she had tickets for a concert it was the same night the family was celebrating I think Bobbie her years of nursing....nelle said she got the tickets from nina...michael ran into nina and thanked her for the tickets......nina had NO IDEA what he was talking about...that was part of nelles plan of separating michael from his family..............the whole nelle story was ridiculous...she blamed carley, but it never occurred to nelle that if carly was the ONE who payed for her kidney then why did carly have crimson run a story so they could find out WHO the donor was..it;s enough to give you gray hairs!!

Having her be Carly's daughter would have been a great SL. I think when CL said she was leaving to pursue other projects, they dumped every possible crazy thing on her for kicks. She must have liked it, because it's pretty much been the same " every possible crazy thing" since she returned.

QUESTION- When and where did she marry Shiloh and don't marriages have to be consummated to be legal? If he was in jail or she was in jail, or they both were, I just don't get this part.

( I also disagree that she should have saved Zach. She was in the water too. Zach was responsible for Zach. Or not. )

I agree. I think one of the reasons she's done things to get Chase involved is because she had feelings for him, not Zach, and Chase had very strong feelings for her too. You had to look past the words to see, but he was totally into her and that should have BEEN the SL she had... and then gone with them and all the angst of one thing and another. Her on he wrong side of the law, pretty much, and him a cop who ( we know now) will lie and set up situations for friends and lovers.

Remember, Michael and Willow wouldn't be happening if Chase had total integrity as a man devoted to Willow. Maybe Nelle still has a little part of his heart.

Putting the two of them back together would just absolutely RUIN the character. Chase is a GOOD MAN. I hated the way he's handled Willow - but I understood his intentions. He LOATHES Nelle - and has tried everything possible to put Nelle back in JAIL - where she BELONGS. To keep Wiley away from her because she is an UNFIT mother.

There is ZERO reason why he would ever WANT to be with her again. No amount of inane - pretzel twisting storytelling will make me see it.

ME TOO! If I can't have Nellantine -- which obviously isn't happening, I want Chase and Nelle. I still think that if they can re-sign Chloe Lanier, it is super-easy to rewrite her killing Zach. Once that's done, suddenly Chase will feel a helluva lot of remorse because he labeled her a murderer and sent her on a path that maybe she wouldn't have gone on if he hadn't hounded her so mercilessly. On top of that, Nina as her mother, and possibly, Willow as her sister.... ooh, it could get so deliciously juicy!

Nelle handed Michael a dead baby and told him it was his.

I liked Nelle before when she was trying to change and Michael was falling in love with her and Dillon was even her friend. Nina looked out for Nelle as well.

Then Nelle lost her ever loving mind again and all bets were off. Nelle tossed herself down some stairs while pregnant to frame Carly, Wylie has been in danger from Nelle since she found out she was pregnant.

Nelle needs to find her way without custody of Wylie. If AJ can have custody stolen at the end of a meat hook and Maxie can legally lose custody, so cab Nelle. Ava loses custody of Avery every couple of years or so.

nelle is too selfish to love anyone, she's an unfit mother to give birth and trade her baby for a dead one so she could get revenge on carly for absolutely no reason and she tried to kill michael leaving him in a burning car. nelle is a real piece of work!!

Michael annoyed me during this time period but he was staying true to character. Michael is a very forgiving person. He forgave Sonny for killing AJ and he forgave Nelle for all the bad things she did to his family. Nelle just started taking it too far with her lies and wanted to isolate him from his family.
