We heard on today's show that Holly was killed. Is Holly really dead or is this just a ruse since she was originally introduced as a con artist and she will resurface in PC later. After all she has eluded death once before (when Robert thought she was killed in a Plane Crash).

Ginuwine The writers retconned history when Emma Samms returned to the show the first time in the 90's. Robert thought Holly was on the plane that crashed, but Holly explained when she was talking with Bobbie that she had been in a bad car accident and was in a coma for all those years and was not expected to survive and her family let Robert believe she died in the plane crash. When she finally recovered and came back to PC the first time, Robert had reunited with and remarried Anna and they were a family unit with Robin. Robert left soon after Holly's return to go find Anna who had been kidnapped by Faison and then Anna and Robert were presumed dead when the yacht Faison had Anna on exploded while Robert was trying to rescue her. Holly lived in Robert and Anna's house with Mac and helped raise Robin for a while. This is the way I took it as i was typing the LT. Peter was angry at his henchman - it was supposed to be a distraction - they were watching Holly and had nothing to do with "the incident" . Anna told Felicia that she saw the WSB report - aparently Holly was working as a operative - and Ann thinks there is more to her death.
so, The Character of Holly Sutton Scorpio has been killed off.Comment

That doesn't mean anything. Robert once faked his death to catch a killer. They even showed him in the morgue on a slab. Scott got the shock of his life when he walked into a room and saw Robert alive. Lol.Comment

Except the actress that plays Holly came back to escort long time friend TG off the show, then announced she considers herself officially retired from GH now. So her walking in, unless you want a recast, isn't going to happen. She seemed pretty clear, the only reason she even returned for that arc was at TG's personal request and so she did it as a favor to a friend. -
LovingLiz True but in today's economy they could've made Emma Samms a deal she would be foolish to walk away from.

There are reasons to believe she's dead. One is- she's off the show and as far as we know, there were no plans for her to return. So, it's just words without actions having to be filmed.
Mostly, it's to show Robert as off balance emotionally while Peter continues to go free. IF Holly wasn't dead, I believe Robert would find this out pretty quickly.
I hope this death makes Robert finally call in whomever he needs to in order to get Peter dead or otherwise GONE from the show. Robert's probably going to blame Peter for this because he had a killer agent in the area watching Holly. When that guy is found, it's going to look like Peter was behind the death.

She might be dead since Emma seems to have no interest in returning. If so I’m irritated they didn’t have Peter kill. The whole “ he’s a really bad guy, but not that bad a guy” is part of why this character has failed so miserably. If Holly has to die it should have some major plot implications, not this wishy-washy stuff.
As for Ethan returning , he became a favorite of mine. I just feel like the things that made him lovable came more from the actor than the writing for the character. I’m not sure a recast would work.Comment

No one is ever really dead on a soap. If Emma ever changed her mind and wanted to do a short arc on the show, they could easily bring her back.Comment

When does Finola Hughes usually take her hiatus'? Is it usually summer time? I wonder if they were gearing up for that, sending Anna off to investigate Holly's death. Of course, with the real life events going on with the pandemic...she may not be taking her usual hiatus.Comment

Peter is reaching far if he was targeting Holly to distract Robert. Holly has not been on the scene for decades. How does Peter even know about her? I believe the Holly is dead story is a plot point to move Anna's story away from Finn and perhaps discovering some truth about Peter which she will cover. It just seems a stretch to even bring up Holly at this point.Comment

Also, at one point the writers retconned Holly's background and she had a twin sister Paloma, could it be Paloma that was mistaken for Holly and Killed and the real Holly is in hidingComment

I think she's still alive. Mainly because there is no way to redeem Peter if he really did contribute to the deaths of Holly and Drew, and it looks like they want to keep Peter around and need him to be viable as a long term character.Comment
