Sorry for all of your loses
I loved the flash backs of Mike though.
MB is such a great actor and so is MG they just have father/son chemistry......
it’s gonna be tough , I wonder if Mike dies in the filming that is still new?

99% of the time I hate Sonny w/ a passion but I balled during his scenes with Mike, Liz and Brook Lynn this week. This is heartbreaking and everyone's performances are good.
A few weeks ago when Mike was in the hospital, I was tearing up during their scenes.. When Sonny was telling Mike a "story" about something that happened to him as a kid with learning to ride a bike. Then he turned around what Mike had said at the time about "just five minutes". (Mike told young Sonny that as a way to slowly get him to learn to ride a bike, while Sonny used the same sentiment to convince Mike out of his hospital room for "just five minutes".
I think this hits home for many of us. My mom died six months ago after a ten year battle with alzheimers and for the last couple of years of her life sometimes she would know who I was, sometimes she thought I was my father or her brother or sometimes she would say "how am I related to you again?' You just never know day to day what to expect. I know there are viewers who feel this story has been going on too long but the show is doing a very good and accurate job of dealing with this disease. Kudos to all involved. Those emmys won by Maurice Benard, Max Gail and Vernee Watson were well deserved.
It has hit home. I've been crying off and on this week thinking about my wife again. She died the month before your mom after a six year fight. I can empathize with you and all of the other caregivers that have been watching this.
Sonny's continued denial this week was extremely painful to watch. He still hasn't processed things yet and didn't realize he could've killed Mike forcing him to eat.
The reactions of Brooklyn, Liz, and the doctor who informed Sonny of Mike's condition was extremely effective.
There really needs to be a one of a kind of special award given to GH at the next awards to acknowledge this story and its cast.
That montage of MIke's Alzheimer's journey we saw on Thursday at the beginning would be perfect to show at the ceremeny.
Everybody major and minor was been very invested in this S/L
