  • Where is Lucas?

I want to know how all this is affecting Lucas. Why is Willow the focus of Wiley's story and regarded as the most important? What about the man who was his father until recently? If Wiley is missing anybody..... it's Lucas.

EXACTLY! Forcing Willow into this is simply about the plot point of Michael and Willow getting married is dumb. They're trying to force the square peg into the round hole and it doesn't work. Nobody works with Michael and no one ever will I don't think.

This should be about Lucas/Michael/Nelle. Making Willow obsessed with the baby that isn't even hers is creepy. I understand she feels some attachment to the child she thought was her but she gave him up for adoption. Lucas should be the one flipping out about Nelle. This whole thing being about Michael is ridiculous and non sensical.

With Lucas being in a coma, Wiley probably had seen him much for months(?). No one seems to ask why he doesn't miss Brad...

Okay, Brad too. But Brad is in jail and an outcast to the Corinthos right now. However, Lucas could freely come and visit Wiley.

Lucas is not important to this story. That has been made abundantly clear, so I would not expect to see him anytime soon.

Whereas Wiley should be missing his dads - Lucas AND Brad - the show is acting like Willow is the most important person in Wiley's life. It makes no sense and is bad writing. Michael should be leaning on Lucas to comfort Wiley, not Willow who was the occasional babysitter and that's it! The show is not even attempting to handle this in a realistic way, so Brucas have been removed completely from the story. They served their purpose.

Brad was used to prop Michael after CL left the show, and was turned into the villain. He was then rarely shown or given a perspective. Lucas was featured even less than him and has always been a non-factor.

So, to answer your question, Lucas is not around because he has no importance to the current story. This is the Michael/Willow/Nelle/Chase/Sasha story, and mostly a Michael/Willow/Nelle story. Why would Lucas be included? He served his minimal purpose. Wiley adjusted fine without him or Brad apparently.

I don't think Willow is being regarded as the most important. For some reason they think she is needed in order to beat Nelle but beyond that I think they think they are helping her by keeping her in Wylie's life but they are making it so much worst. I'm guessing the Ryan Carnes is busy and couldn't be in a major story...but even as someone who likes Willow I would definitely rather see Michael and Lucas working this out over anything else

I doubt it has anything to do with RC's availability. Lucas is simply not important. He and Brad served their purpose, and the story has moved on to the new phase. They (and mostly PS) were used to prop up Michael and give him a story. That's why I never liked this story. Brucas deserved better, IMO, esp when they hadn't been shown for months, but whatever. They were like 4th tier characters, so I never did expect much in terms of character exploration of in-depth writing . . . . . . And now they are both gone - oh well! It is what it is.

I'm speaking about the writers, not the characters. The writers threw him under the bus because he's simply not a character they care about. Everyone can be redeemed but Brad can't?!? Ok! Whatever! That's lame.

But we are clearly talking about two different things. The writing is so bad - to me - that I can't focus on the characters. I just see "bad writing."

And for me the writing and the characters have always been the same thing. You can't have one without the other

I guess it really comes down to it you think the character's actions are believable. The writing and the character do go hand-in-hand, so if the writing is really awful, it impacts the characters and can pull me straight out of the show, esp if I don't find the character's actions in the story believable.

The larger problem with GH, in my opinion, is the bad writing. RC did a better job of fleshing out the characters and writing for them. I enjoyed his time on GH for the most part. I was watching regularly then and not just going to YT to see the scenes of my faves. If it weren't for this pandemic, I wouldn't have seen as much of the show as I have this past month, and I'm still selective about what I watch. I tend to mute the characters I hate, and that's a lot!

I agree I want to see this from Lucas perspective. He has lost the most. He lost his son and his husband. I am tired of the focus on Willow and her weird obsession with Wiley. This story isn't worth watching. Plus pairing dull as dishwater Michael with the Wiley obsessed Willow is a fail for me.

Well after all, that would take valuable time away from the discussions over Wiley and Michael's custody. They are so worried about Willow having her heart ripped out. What about the guy who adopted him and thought he was his legal father only to find out it was his nephew's son? No one has mentioned poor Lucas. Not only did he lose Wiley, he found out the bum he married lied to him and kept up the lie for over a year. Funny Michael has not mentioned reaching out to Lucas to see if he would like to visit Wiley. It is always about Willow, like it is Wiley and Willow who are a couple. What would their squish name be? WiWi?

Right Wiley should be missing his dads and I hate to say it but especially brad. I am sure Wile y loved his dad just like Sonny's kids love him and Charlotte loves Val. Noone seems to care about WIley missing them. It is true Lucas wasn't' really in his life for a long time
Wiley would also more likely be attached to a daycare worker more than Willow. But Micheal pulled him out of that normal for him place.
Lucas should be a bigger part of this story.

I've never once missed Lucas or Brad. Never even thought about them. I think it's been written this way, and there's the " Julian factor" as well, and this onslaught coming against Cyrus's bloody gunfights. Julian will be needed to side up with Jason ( and Sonny, nominally) to bring Cyrus down.

Let's face it, tptb don't have any use for Lucas. Barely saw him until he and Brad decided to adopt a baby. With the baby switch, he still didn't have a major role. Now, he is once again forgotten.

I miss Lucas - he has always been underused. They use him for a plot point then he disappears for a long time. Yes he should be a part of Wylie’s story.
DIdn’t we last see him going back to work after coming out of his coma? If that’s right, he should be in the hospital and for sure would be involved with Wylie’s care while there.

And his story should continue with finding out the truth about Julian. For a moment, Britt seemed to maybe have a part to play in that but now she’s gone too.

Instead we get too much of Peter IMO.
I checked IMDb and Ryan Carnes doesn’t seem to have anything in the works that is listed there.

I agree, I actually find Lucas to be the better character of everyone involved in this mess
