When GH begins filming once again{merged}

I wonder if they're gonna pick up right where they left off despite what i imagine will be months (at least a couple) of no new episodes, or if they'll try to keep their original timeline and show flashbacks of what we miss. Like a sort of "3 months later" sort of thing, and all the town went to trash from Cyrus reign of terror and get to the climax right away.

I do not think shows any of them will be back on production for a very long time.

Whenever General Hospital does return to production, (IF it ever returns to production), I think they need to do a major time skip depending on how long the show is off production so that they can finally wrap up all of the stories they're in right now. Personally they should just do a 2-3 year time skip and basically start over with new stories.

Here's how I would do it:

Michael and Willow get married after Chase breaks up with Willow because he feels like she cares more about Wiley than their relationship and is tired of being the third wheel. Then eventually after about a year of marriage Willow and Michael have a son together and name him after Willow's adoptive father.

Chase and Brook Lynn also get together.

There's a twist in the Nina's daughter story and Nina actually had twins - Nelle and Willow. Nelle is eventually killed by Nina when Nelle tries to kill Willow and Willow and Nina slowly work their way to a better, more cordial relationship.

Sasha takes a job offer in Europe and leaves town for good.

Robert somehow gets Dr. Obrecht into his temporary custody and the two along with Spinelli, Jason and Finn work together to find evidence that Peter was actually behind Drew's death and the attempted murders on Franco and Andre. Peter is then exposed for his crimes and is shipped off to the Hague. Peter is also revealed not to be Anna's son, but Alex's. And even though Obrecht is exonerated, she decides to leave for Switzerland for a while to get her life back together. While Obrecht is in Switzerland, she falls in love with a man who was her lawyer while she was at the Hague and eventually returns with him to Port Charles to reunite with her loved ones.

Britt then returns to Port Charles with a newborn baby in her arms and informs Julian that he's the father of her child. Her child is a boy and she names him Ben. Britt then tries to mend her relationship with her mother as she introduces her to her new grandchild and Obrecht gets to spend time with Ben.

Maxie also moves on from her disastrous relationship with Peter and she decides to remain single while she focuses on raising her son James.

Valentin and Nina also get back together after Nina and Jax's relationship crumbles and falls apart because Nina is compelled to help her long lost daughter and she is furious with Jax for his involvement in the sale of her kidney. However, it wasn't without many ups and downs and Nelle even marries Valentin in order to solidify her case in winning sole custody of Wiley.

I am so glad that there is a thread on this topic. I have so many questions. When will the last GH episode air? In the last episodes filmed, will we hear any mention of the coronavirus? Also, when filming resumes, I really hope that GH mentions this crazy mess we are all living thru. I really don't want them to ignore what has been happening, even if it is just a soap. Or, what if someone on the soaps dies from the corona? Make it realistic but please don't leave this huge event out.

When Gh announced the flashback Fridays, the announcement said that this would allow them to have new episodes until May 22. It may be that they are also editing to stretch episodes - as it seemed with last week's Carly/Nelle episode that had many and long flashbacks in both episodes.

I love the idea of three months later but this is how I want it to play out.

The episode begins with Jason pouring milk into Danny's cereal and commenting on how the bottle of milk feels heavier than it used to.

The camera pulls away and everyone is ten pounds heavier.

Cue to the Corinthos home, where everyone has been on lockdown. Carson are each going crazy in their own way because Jason hasn't been able to come over to see them.

Cue to the Devane home. Fanna have been locked down with Peter. Anna opens the scene saying, you're right Finn. Something is off about Peter. Meanwhile, Peter is too tired to go into the next room to take his phone calls. Violet has crayoned pretty pictures all over the walls.

Cue to Cyrus. He is doing yoga. When he cannot kill, he is really rather bored.

louisesnell96 I don’t even think that’s the case, I’ll be surprised if these episodes last til the end of April. GH actors were originally saying the episodes would only run until the 17th of April, before they started doing flashback Friday’s so unless they start narrowing down to 3, 2 or 1 episode a week I would imagine we’re nearing the end here. Either way whenever it ends it’s still gonna be a few months til we see anything new, even once they go back into production it’ll still take another few weeks for any of it to air.

Do we know when GH starts taping again ?

We don’t even know when we can start living our own lives yet ? whether you’re shooting a tv show or working retail everyone is kind of in the same boat.

To put things in perspective, I live in Canada, where covid19 hasn’t affected even close to the amount of people it has in the US and seem to be taking much better measures to flatten the curve and keep everyone safe yet they’ve cancelled pretty much everything until the end of summer over here, plus there’s an assumption that we won’t fully be rid of covid for at least a year and a half so at this point there’s no predicting how long tv shows will take to go back into production.

I believe days went 1 year ahead even before this virus. I can think of a few good reasons to have time jump ahead.

Wouldn't mind flash backs .... but if Peter treachery is revealed or
Nelle's kicked to the curb or if Valentin gets bested .... that's the
stuff I'd like to view not just thru a flashback.
