They never should have let Billy Miller go!

This story with Franco being Drew is ridiculous. They should have kept BM as Drew and gave Drew his own memories back.

Billy was actually cast in the Apple series quite a while ago before he left GH. I believe he was going to do both shows until he left...

I disagree. The Drew character was useless. He had no couple pairing and no purpose. The only thing he had going for his was him being Scout's dad. Other than that, he was practically a nobody.
      Good Riddance!

It was clear that there was a push from somewhere for Drew's presence to be minimized. They could have absolutely written for him but there was a glaring choice not to. Not for nothing, I think its interesting GH has been dipping below DOOL recently. Not saying it has anything to do w/ him leaving but its more of a "that's what y'all get" kind of thing.

Glad to hear GH is now starting to drop below DOOL in the ratings, they deserve to after getting rid of a great character with a whole lot of potential and then having no one grieve him while propping utter phony fake Drew crap. They deserve to be the fourth rank soap, hope they continue to dive in the ratings not just for this but for other stuff such as dragging out Michael finding out his son is alive and for keep bringing back psychos like Nelle and Ryan, oh sure bring back those dregs of humanity but don't consider a recast of a character with so much potential as Drew Caine, even Nina who didn't have a third of his potential got a recast, so this is just garbage, they deserve to start losing viewers and ratings.

NO! He was a good character. It's 2019! We don't need couple pairing all the time. PALEASE let's have some single characters. They can have interesting story lines too! I didn't like it when they re-cast Jason with a different actor and I may have said some unflattering things when they did, about the actor, but as Drew he was awesome.

You know at first I thought it would be interesting, but without actual Drew, it just doesn't work. Also Kim turned into a creepy creeper so that didn't help...

I agree... I adore Tamara Braun, but Kim needs to go where Franco was just released from. She's gone loco!

Yeah Kim is a creepy creeper now. I kind of like that she makes Elizabeth's character more sympathetic than usual. It's refreshing to be on Elizabeth's side.

It's just ridiculous how long Billy was on the show and they refused to give him his memory story the whole time. Not just that, but no love interest after Sam. As I said before they did apparently bring Margaux in for him, but suddenly they gave her over to Sonny's story instead. I have heard everything from TPTB not caring to certain backstage politics going on which was why this all happened. I guess we will never really know. So now they have handed the memory story over to Franco and a huge majority of fans HATE the story now and TPTB is apparently getting a lot of flack for it. Oh well...

It could have been interesting if Drew refused to take the drive but Shiloh forced it upon him because he wanted that information about the money. So, now Drew doesn't remember being in PC he sees the Q's as not wanting him, he doesn't remember his daughter, his time with Sam and his best friend Curtis. Now characters such as Monica have more motivation to want to know him as he is now and tries to get him to accept her in his life. He could have connected with Kim and maybe this would have looked better and Kim wouldn't look so selfish or crazy, because she is connecting with the real man who is suddenly standing before her remembering their past together. It would have made for a better SL one I would have wanted to watch and not this insulting turn off of a horrendous trainwreck that is Fake Drew, AKA Franco. TIIC could have given Friz a break from the front burner for a while or had Liz be given the main focus fo their SL for a change, anything would have been better than this.

I stopped watching GH the day he left in the elevator. He was one of the good guys. I’ll watch again if they rehire him. Instead of hiring the Dustin character for lulu they could’ve tried drew with lulu.

Perfectly said. That Dustin guy is a real snooze, Drew had so much charisma and his acting was powerful. I just wanted to watch him all the time, even when there was not much going on with his story because it was all about him.

The show definitely failed here. There was no reason to stop investing in Billy Miller's character once Steve Burton came back. They made a convoluted story for him that he wasn't here for and gave him a son only to kill him off. Billy was getting used less and less and the lack of investment in the character is probably one of the reasons he chose to leave.

There are no plans for him to retake the role of Billy on Y&R from Jason Thompson so it wasn't a move back to Y&R that caused him to leave.

Well if he didn't like the way his story line was going maybe that is why he left also maybe they can recast Drew with a different actor

I’m soooo happy the actor is gone because I couldn’t stand Drew. Drew was a waste of screen time.

I liked that he was not a ken doll for a barbie. I think there should be more single rolls on soaps. I am glad they have Brad and Lucas. They need to embrace the reality that single people are interesting characters and can have some really cool stories too. Drew was a good character when played by Billy Miller. I am hoping Franco comes back soon though and in the body of the actor who is currently hosting the character of Drew.

Drew was the only Male character on screen at the time even remotely interesting. Everyone else is doing the same old schtick that got old a long time ago. This story is dumb anyways but without Billy it doesn't make any sense.

No one is owed a story or airtime. There are plenty of vets who should get airtime before a newbie. He was very very high in episode counts for almost all of his time there.

I loved Drew/Billy Miller, Curtis and Franco’s best buddy, a son that cared about Monica, friend and mentor to Liz and her kids, loving father. The show suffers without him

Drew is definitely missed - his warmth, his humor, his empathy. He was a great character, and I can’t believe they wasted all that talent by giving the storyline to Franco, who is the a worthless character that should have been gone ages ago. The writers should have done what they did with Finn - create a completely new character for the actor so that we would all forget this Franco mess, or made him a Quartermaine. Drew was sacrificed for Franco, which I hate. I’m still watching because I love Chase and Willow, still am interested in Michael and Sasha, and am liking Lulu and her new beau. I’m kind of soured on Kevin as a result of the trial, but Scotty really screwed up, but of course he had to be sacrificed at the altar of Franco as not Franco.

I hadn’t thought of Drew and Lulu, but that is an interesting idea.
