I've seen so many comments regarding the lack of chemistry between Laura and Kevin and I have to disagree. I thought JL's expression of emotion and feelings for Laura were so evident yesterday. I was impressed with his ability to lose the "Ryan" personna and to be "Kevin". I loved it and I thought their chemistry was dead on. jmo

I dont' see chemistry but I do see "love" and that is what makes a solid couple. I don't see physical attraction or sparks with them but they are both over 50 and it's nice to see some real love and devotion in a couple even if they aren't together anymore. I'm OK with Laura and Kevin but I like Scotty with Laura. He has always loved her.Comment

I absolutely see chemistry between Kevin and Laura, but I am disappointed in Laura. She hardly has a squeaky clean past regarding the truth and betrayal, and she's just dumping Kevin because he kept a truth from her? Yes, trust matters but like I said, Laura is hardly without blemish. She literally allowed her own child to believe she died in order to sneak away with Luke and Lucky. She hid Nicholas' part in almost killing someone. I get that Kevin screwed up, but he had his brother locked away in a mental facility not in a private cabin in the woods. I just feel like Laura literally dumped him overnight. They haven't had a real conversation since she yelled at him and stormed off. If she is so ready to dump him, despite all the lies and mistakes she's told in her life, then she doesn't deserve him. It's also disappointing how everyone abandoned him. I am happy Lucy stayed by his side, but I don't want them reunited. The stories tend to be all about Lucy because she's the scatterbrained one in the pair.
I feel bad for Kevin. I wish the writers weren't writing this so heavy-handed against him and had allowed him some wiggle room to not have known a full year about Ryan. I think had she not almost lost another child in large part because of the secret Kevin kept from her, she might be more forgiving. Honestly I believe that in time she will be able to get past it. No, she isn't perfect but she is allowed to be upset that her daughter almost died because of Kevin's brother. Hopefully the writers will opt to fix this.Shelly, Moderator

That's a valid point. I just wish the writers had allowed her to be a bit more conflicted. I mean Lulu is actually more forgiving of Kevin than Laura, but I can see your point that when it comes to your child, you're allowed to be far more furious. That said, Laura has also hurt her own child VERY badly while also doing drastic things to protect them. So my main point is that people do crazy things for family - both for and against. -
Had she not already lost Nik maybe it'd be different. But facing losing another child is unimaginable and Kevin is a big reason for it. Considering he helped her through losing Nik, I'd think he'd understand. Just because she's not perfect herself doesn't mean she can't be upset for a little while about her daughter almost dying

I like Kevin and Laura. They have a mature romance that is based on love, respect, and yes, sexual attraction. Laura is struggling with the respect part right now, because Kevin's decisions led to Ryan nearly killing Lulu. That would be hard to overlook even if Laura hadn't already lost a child tragically.Comment

I love the intimacy between these two, the little acknowledgments, how natural they are. I definitely see chemistry between Laura and Kevin and hope that they are given many adventures together and grow old together as a loving couple.Comment

I adore Kevin and Laura and I was a die hard Kevin/Lucy fan, although they still tug at my heart! Kevin and Laura are perfect for where they are in life now. I love how they hold each other hands all the time when they are together especially when they were in the basement. I hope they get over this hump i think in time the will they just have a rough patch right now!
