I am not understanding why they have to make a point to the viewers that the current relationship must appear to be as if they are apart because they majority of the citizens of Port Charles were not aware that they had a one night stand. This - we have to appear to be broken up - doesn't make sense. Yes, Carly knew and shared it with Sonny and then Drew, but who else knew. They never were together when Krissy was living with Sam.

Carly didn't share it with Drew. Drew made the statement on his own. Spinelli also knows. -

How does being unattached effect infiltrating the DOD? They accepted both Kristina and Oscar knowing they have loving family. The DOD is using the totem to be self aware of past sins and arise from the self doubt and love oneself again. Sam's past would be enough of an entrance on its on. -
A single woman is easier prey, especially when her "ex" is the town hero.

Stupid plot. No one in Port Charles thinks they are not together or even cares except for Carly and Spinelli. Why would Shiloh care? They came to DOD together, were married and have a kid so why would Shiloh not think they are together and what difference would it make?Comment

I think Jason is very intimidating and they think Sam can’t get close to Shiloh and DOD if a swoll hitman is around her all the time. This Shiloh is a piece of work though....he doesn’t really seemed phased by Jason or mobster Sonny. Not to mention Sams dad, Julian. Lots of people in Kristina and Sams life that could eliminate him very quickly. My biggest complaint of this “breakup†is that the writers are just being so obvious that they are trying to have angst for Jasam. I mean they meet up to talk about some serious stuff in the hospital nurses area where they can’t touch each other. Why not meet up at Jason’s house? Or a parked car somewhere? There are so many places they could still have alone time with no one seeing them. It makes me wonder what the writers are trying to accomplish with so blaitantly keeping them apart. So stupid IMOComment

My own hope is that during this ridiculous "breakup" or whatever, Sam will finally come to realize that she is a grownup now and really doesn't want to be a part of Jason's world. For real. Ah, a girl can dream...Comment

Sam is trying to get Shiloh to trust her...which would be impossible to do if he thought she was with Jason...since he knows Jason is on to him...so they want to convince him they are not together...to find out what is really going on with Dawn of Day

I don't like this story, but Sam's reasonings make sense. I'm hoping that Jason and Sam have some substantial time together on the sneak. That would be the saving point for this story.Comment

I haven't been watching, but this plot sounds lame. Why does Sam need to be single in order for this to work? Has anyone explained? And knowing she's a scammer, why would Shiloh ever fall for her tricks? Any ideas?Comment

I agree. If Shiloh is a scammer he would recognize Sam trying to scam him. I'm still at a loss at what she is trying to do. Some say she will attempt to seduce him. If that is the case he would think she is more gross than anything since she seduced and married his father. Stupid plot. -
1sbkmcfan - ICAM with you. Shiloh knows Sam seduced and scammed his father. Why would he ever fall for her seduction? She's already shown her hand, and he should know she doesn't trust him. yes, I was using the term rather snidely though because I just can't understand why they have to hide their relationship status when I think they should be joyfully showing that they are back together.
