It isn't the fact that he kept Ryan at ferncliff, but the fact that Kevin didn't let anyone know Ryan was alive. Precautions should have been in place to prevent this situation.

It doesn't matter that Kevin was keeping Ryan hidden because Ryan was being held at an institution for the criminally insane, a place where someone like Ryan WOULD go. Putting him in a regular prison would be madness because Ryan could manipulate the other prisoners. Ryan WAS where he belonged. Kevin's issue will be allowing people to think his brother was dead when he was not, but Ryan was safely tucked away for 25 years!! So clearly, it was a secure place. Kevin just got sloppy in that one instant, and for the record, it was the intern who didn't make sure that Ryan's straight jacket was secure for the reason that Ryan got out.

Kevin can't be blamed for his brother's actions. He escaped an institution that should have had safe-guards in place. Although now that I think about it, Kevin should have made sure to have a Plan B in place in case his brother tried to escape as "Kevin Collins" since Ryan did the exact same thing during his rampage years ago. Then again, this is a soap so Ryan was definitely getting out.

Ava (Rightly)--He just killed her daughter. If Kevin had just accepted that some people are beyond help this wouldn't have happened. Even if they weren't in the best place the fact that Ava was willing (in her own sick way) to set up Griffin and Sasha to get closer to her daughter again kind of proves that she did still at least care about her. And I get he can't be blamed for his brother's actions but he can be blamed for keeping it a secret for 20 years and at least not being careful enough to have that facility be somewhere far far away from Port Charles. Mexico or Switzerland (throwing out randoms) would have been far enough away, and he should have been more careful in his treatment. But I think there should have been no treatment at all if you ask me.

To me Kevin has paid for what he did he is the one in an institution in his lunatic brother's place, yes some won't be happy but I hope that horrendous disgusting hypocrite Ava doesn't have the nerve to get in his face. That witch is just as responsible for what happened to Kiki, more so, after all, wasn't Kevin who put a target on her back it was her horrid witch of a mother. Kevin suffered for his choice and will no doubt suffer some more knowing what Ryan did, Ava won't suffer because Ava doesn't have a conscience, it's always about her.

I think both Laura and Ava will have the most reaction to this betrayal. For all Ava's faults here, she did try at first to get professional help for her unhealthy feelings and was betrayed. Laura believed Kevin was a trustworthy person and this is a BIG lie that has ruined lives. However, Kevin is suffering greatly for his choice too, but so far, not with his life. I have this weird expectation that Ryan will offer Kevin his life back once this hits critical mass and is about to go down for his crimes. Like "Done now. You can be Kevin if you want." lol.

As much as I love Jon L. I hope GH brings back Stephan for his Lasha. GF and ST were so potent and deeply romantic together.
