Are we ever going to meet Wiley's birth mom?

I just find it so strange... there appears to be a lot of secrecy surrounding the birth mother when there is little to no information on her. All we know is that Alexis and Diane both had met up with her countless times during the course of the adoption process. When Julian looked over the adoption records a while back, we don't even see her name. Then just as suddenly as she decides that she wants her son back, she then just as quickly decides to back off at the last minute. It's been speculated that maybe Julian might have paid her off, but who knows what really happened to her. Since the writers seem to be making such a big deal out of her, surely we might eventually find out who she is towards the end of this whole baby switch. And with some of the older characters now returning to the canvas, (Amy, Britt, etc.,), maybe one of them might actually be his mom. I feel like there's this big puzzle piece missing and something just isn't adding up.

Maybe there's a possibility that Wiley's mom lives somewhere else, (like Chappaqua), and that could be why the baby was transferred from a different hospital to General Hospital. Perhaps we might also find out later that Sasha might also have been friends with her and she could be the key in revealing her identity. I just find it so hard to believe for some reason that she's simply going to turn out to be a big nobody. There has to be more to this story.

The reason I don't think we'll see the birth mother is that her child died. She's already given up her plan to reclaim the baby, based on "something" Julian did. Now the adoption is permanent so she has no part to play. Wylie's(jonah's) heart condition might have brought her in, but we know she isn't the reason the baby has that condition and they've already reached out to her about it. Thinking she could be Sasha, or Sasha's friend would be too contrived for me to believe.

I think it might be Sasha. There was a reason that Julian kept his thumb over the mother's name. And there was a reason that Nina overheard Brad and Julian talking about it.the other day at Charley's

I agree...unless the Birth Mother is Sasha...which could be another twist that we still can't rule out yet...but if not Wylie's Birth Mother has no other purpose in this story...since her baby died and she agreed to give up all rights to him and let Lucas & Brad adopt him...it will just mean she was just some random person and her showing up does nothing for the story...since her baby is gone and the baby Lucas & Brad have...is Michael's

30 days? 30 days from when? I don't remember when Brad got Wiley, but it seems like it was already more than 30 days when the birth father comment was made.

Since they didn't mention the dad all along I wonder if he knew> It was always strange that they never said the Dad agreed to give up the child. If the mom lied about the dad that can mess things up

I agree. If the father was never told about the baby, I'm sure that there is some way he may be able to contest the adoption.I think I have heard of it happening irl.

I hope we never meet her. I don't want to bring her on just to tell her that even though she was trying to set her baby up for a better future, he still died and was buried in someone else's place like his own little life never mattered. I don't need to see that.

I went back and watched the scenes (of Brad and Alexis Sept 26).

They were discussing Wiley's health and Alexis said the birth father doesn't even know the baby exists (the relationship between the birth mother and father was "fleeting").

Alexis did say 31 days starting with the day of the child's birth, but the state of New York takes these on a case-by-case basis (which imo, sounded like the birth father could possibly claim the baby after more than 31 days).

I suppose they could bring on a birth father, which would be fine if it helps the truth come out and Michael gets his son back. I just think there are better ways to accomplish that outcome.

I completely agree a birth father storyline is not needed.

It's a possibility, imo, based on the Alexis and Brad dialogue.

Imo, both the birth father and mother are not necessary;

There are already enough characters involved, imo.

Another newbie character isn't needed, definitely not two, imo.

At this point the Birth Father is not needed...I just want Micheal to find out Jonah is ALIVE...to me that is all that matters.

I don't need a birth father and would have been fine just hearing he signed off right away. But by not telling him he is a father could cause problems (in this case not so much) But that was the thing for the Baby Jessie (anna) story decades ago. The birth mom named other guy who signed over rights then she and the real father wanted the baby

It's classic soap opera writing. Leave just enough information out of a story so they can change their minds later, at any given moment. Maybe we will find out who the birth mother is, maybe we won't. Plus I never ever thought that Alexis had "met with" the birth mother at all, not to mention numerous times. Why do some people think that Alexis and Diane met up with her countless times?

It's to keep us guessing until such time they want to write the story that way. Just like Sonny actually killing a guy or just burying the body.

I can see DIANE meeting up several times she was the mom's attorney but Alexis NO the mom wanted as few people as possible

I hope not...it's bad enough Michael is grieving for his child...then to find out he is ALIVE...and to be so happy...only to be shot down that the child is not really his...would be too much...so pray they don't go there
